    RS7 mods that add HP

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Just curious what mods people are doing to add HP and what people have under their hood. Feel free to chime in!

On 93 octane, do these look right?

    Stock 2014 RS7: 560 hp
APR Stage 2: 152 hp (APR claims 712hp on their site)
Milltek non-res Exhaust: 10 hp (Does exhaust add any hp?)
SRM Inlets: 30-40 hp (Read this on Audizine, but not sure why there’s a 10hp swing)

    Total HP (in theory): 752hp - 762hp
2014 Audi RS7 l Dynamic Edition l Ibis White l APR Stage 2 l Satin Black 21 x 10.5 FR8 Ferrada Wheels l MPSS l Milltek Valvesonic Non-Resonated Exhaust l Eurocode Sway Bars & Endlinks l Eurocode Differential & Transmission Mounts l Eurocode Alu Keurez l KW H.A.S. l SRM 4.0 TFSI Inlets l EBC Redstuff Brake Pads l TAG Side Marker Deletes l TAG Blackout Emblems l Escort Max 360c Hardwired l Vinyl Accents l Carbon Spoiler l CETE Valve Control l Eventuri Intake System l Dragy

That is in a perfect, best case scenario. most likely those mods dont add what is claimed.

example: I have a 13 S6 (not abused with 58K) which is claimed 420, its APR stage 2 which they claim is 517hp and 651tq to the wheels with a Milltek turbo back and they claim 6-9% increase in hp. The Mustang Dyno I put it on showed 466hp and 616tq it runs about a 7.4 in the 1/8th (only taken it twice and ran about 5 times).
13 S6 SRM +4mm, Flex Fuel lines with ethanol sensor, Milltek turbo back, SRM Red Long intakes, NGK race plugs, AMG coolant pump. Merc HX, DS1 OTS stage 4, SRM TCU

The best mod that adds HP is cool weather. Audi stock charge cooling sucks.

HP gains are great marketing bs.

APR’s tunes are pretty well proven via 1/4 mile times, so probably good choice. Could also look into srm’s new tunes but I have not seen data yet.

Unless you do downpipes, exhaust will net you nothing but better sound. Even if you gain 10hp, I highly doubt you would notice it on a 600+ hp car. Personally I would x-pipe the oem center resonator (for sound only) or get downpipes (sound + power). Nothing against milltek because they make good sounding exhausts, but the money for a faster car is better spent elsewhere.

The jury is still out on the srm intakes from what I have seen.

I would look into srm’s charge cooler upgrade +\- pump upgrade because charge cooling is the achilles heel for performance on this platform.

The advertised hp gains from different mods don’t always just add on top of each other. It just doesn’t work that way.

I think what you should be asking yourself is how does my 1/4mi and MPH times change with certain parts. How much faster is my 0-60, 60-130, 60-100, 100-150 MPH times rather than some silly dyno number than can easily be manipulated by the operator of said dyno.

APR stage 2 + APR downpipes + APR exhaust + Forge CF intake =

    (Left lane)

No idea how much HP/Torque that is, but it’s full road trim kids seats in the back sub box in the trunk and a 220lb driver, so it’s enough. I don’t need to go faster.

    pump fuel?

So just intake, downpipes, tune, and pump fuel and it's 10.5 @ 132?

yeah I found he listed MS109 in a different post. What's typical MPH going Stage 1, then Stage 2 on pump? I know stock it's 11.3 @ 125 per C&D for my RS7 Performance. I haven't tracked it yet but used my VBOX and matched C&D's 0-60 and 0-100 so I'm fairly certain it'll match their 1/4mi ET/MPH.

Stage 2 on pump 93 I’m running 10-8-10.9s @ 125-126ish. Haven’t done many runs on 93 though so might be able to improve that MPH a little.
