What’s the consensus on these? I see a lot of high performing 3.0t have them. Can anybody give their opinion?

Also does the TB come already ported for meth injection?

I ran the iAbed 75mm TB when I was at 183/57 and 194/57 then bumped up to the 82mm TB when I installed a ported blower. At a high pulley ratio with a ported blower there will be some gain with the bigger TB. Both sizes come with an adapter plate that has a W/M port. I also port matched my adapter plate to the blower flange.

I plan on going ported blower soon too should I just go for the 82mm? Also did you notice a big jump in power from going 183/57 to 194/57?

Yes, I did notice a big jump going from 183mm to 194mm. I actually had a 189mm ring to install and decided to go straight to 194mm instead. Talk with EPL about bumping up the PR and make sure that they can handle the extra boost. I will say that the increase in low end torque with the 203mm ring is noticeable too. Having said that, I think that the 75mm TB will suffice most people. Once you go really big on PR, ported SC, test pipes, high shift points, I think that there are gains to be made with the 82mm TB. I’m currently running the 82mm TB with a 3.5” intake, IE DP E40 tune, HPT TCU tune, open air intake box and shifting at 7400rpm.

Nice that sounds like a monster setup. I have the HPt tcu tune with shift pints set at 7400 as well. I definitely want to go ported blower and TB next but I’m still debating on the larger crank pulley. If the extra low end is noticeable I will. But yeah I’m gonna talk to my tuner first. Good to know both TB sizes come with adapters for meth

I’d be interested, but is this what’s needed to install the TB on our blower?

Yeah basically looks like an adapter plate that pushes the tb farther out so the 82 can fit better. So from the iabed kit you wouldnt need the adapter. You would still need the harness and then gaskets. and obvi a throttle body. Some custom intake work would be needed too as this is quite a bit farther out compared.

Are you making them port matched with meth bungs im assuming? Id be interested if it wasnt red... lol id love to do a 75 vs 82 comparison

APR CF heat shield, 3.5” CF 45 degree elbow that I found online somewhere, iAbed 82mm TB and adapter plate, 3.5” 45 deg elbow cut down to length to join the heat shield to the CF intake tube.

I believe that this fitting is a 1/4” and the factory tube is 8mm (~5/16”). So I picked up a 1/4” to 5/16” plastic adapter and joined with a short piece of 1/4” tube.

I believe that having those pieces cast in an alloy was cost prohibitive.
