I have been looking very hard for an S5 Cabriolet in the Navarra Blue over Rotor Gray interior, Prestige w. Sport pckg.. I really wanted a car sooner than waiting for a 2020, which is delayed anyway. But my local dealer was unable to come up with a 2019 for me from any source he was able to trade with apparently.
Doing a lot of diligent internet searching, I have found a new 2019 with just the spec. I want at an out-of-state dealership. I am negotiating with the dealer and probably will purchase this car, but discussions are slow because we're doing it mostly by email.
So a question has come up for me, looking at the window sticker of the car I am considering: Below the total of base price + options, there is a line that says: "CRC-Convenience Package Credit" -$1500
I questioned the sales rep. about this entry, specifically asking "what is deleted that causes that entry." His only reply, so far, is, "It is a package credit that Audi just offered."
This car is definitely a 2019 model year (VIN ends in.....006458). On a CarFax VIN report the earliest entry show the car with the dealer as of 5/17/19. So it MAY be a somewhat early 2019, but probably not the earliest.
My question is: Is this one of the 2019s we've heard rumors about that are going to "lose Google Earth" as of 12/2020, even though officially that only applies to 2018 and earlier?? And is that why this credit is being granted? Or, if not, what could this credit be for???
The car fits my spec perfectly and, IF this is a late one of the Google Earth losers, it makes very little difference to me. But I really would like a full and clear disclosure of what the sticker entry means!! Anyone out there help with that?? Vincenzo?
