Question "CRC-Convenience Package Credit" on sticker of new 2019 S5 Cabriolet?

I have been looking very hard for an S5 Cabriolet in the Navarra Blue over Rotor Gray interior, Prestige w. Sport pckg.. I really wanted a car sooner than waiting for a 2020, which is delayed anyway. But my local dealer was unable to come up with a 2019 for me from any source he was able to trade with apparently.

Doing a lot of diligent internet searching, I have found a new 2019 with just the spec. I want at an out-of-state dealership. I am negotiating with the dealer and probably will purchase this car, but discussions are slow because we're doing it mostly by email.

So a question has come up for me, looking at the window sticker of the car I am considering: Below the total of base price + options, there is a line that says: "CRC-Convenience Package Credit" -$1500

I questioned the sales rep. about this entry, specifically asking "what is deleted that causes that entry." His only reply, so far, is, "It is a package credit that Audi just offered."

This car is definitely a 2019 model year (VIN ends in.....006458). On a CarFax VIN report the earliest entry show the car with the dealer as of 5/17/19. So it MAY be a somewhat early 2019, but probably not the earliest.

My question is: Is this one of the 2019s we've heard rumors about that are going to "lose Google Earth" as of 12/2020, even though officially that only applies to 2018 and earlier?? And is that why this credit is being granted? Or, if not, what could this credit be for???

The car fits my spec perfectly and, IF this is a late one of the Google Earth losers, it makes very little difference to me. But I really would like a full and clear disclosure of what the sticker entry means!! Anyone out there help with that?? Vincenzo?

Hey Willy....nice to hear from you again, I'm glad that the search has progressed with locating a 2019 vehicle. This happens from time to time and essentially, it just means that the Convenience Package for the S5 Cabriolet was removed/altered for the 2019 MY. For example, a 2019 A5 also has an available Convenience package with the following features: Alarm system with motion sensors, Auto-dimming exterior mirrors, Audi advanced key (keyless engine start/stop & entry - doors and trunk), Memory for driver's seat, Audi pre sense rear, Sirius XM All Access service (w/ 3-month trial subscription), & Audi side assist. These are all features that are already included in the Premium Plus trim of the S5 Cabriolet, so there is no reason to also have an additional Convenience Package. Instead we offer a credit as Premium Plus is the base trim for the 2019 S5 Cabriolet (you can still go up to Prestige of course but no standard Premium). Hopefully this answers your question but please let me know if there's anything else I can assist with!

Thank you so much for that information Vincenzo! The vehicle in question is actually a Prestige S5 Cabriolet with all the expected features appearing to be listed on the sticker. I told the salesperson that I wanted to know what was "missing or deleted" from the expected package, because that is what it sounded like from the wording on the sticker. He seemed unsure, but said, "I think it's just a credit, like an incentive or price reduction." I was probably a little more suspicious than I would have ordinarily been, but this is he first time I have ever purchased a car and paid in full for it without ever actually SEEING IT first (except for photos)!! But I'm reassured by your information and have actually already "closed the deal," by telephone "handshake." Just waiting for FedEx to deliver the documents for signing and returning.

So it appears that I have a car and I don't have to wait for the uncertain arrival of a 2020 Order Guide! But thanks for all your help with that question as well. Looking forward to getting back on the road with an Audi.....I miss my last one!!
