Door Handle Key Cover/Cap Missing

Arrived home to find this thing MIA. Wife doesn't know how or where it could have come off. Anyone had to replace this before? Assume replacement just snaps on but probably comes unpainted?

Mine fell off randomly one day. The snaps were loose somehow. I put a tiny dab of superglue and it’s been good since.

When I bought my car used, it was also missing it and the dealer replaced it for free. Seems like a common issue lol

Check eBay; there are options that are inexpensive. Maybe you can find a touch up spray that would be a close match.

Dude mine fell off one day and I purchased one from the dealer for $60 and had it painted $20(I bought the paint)

It was a hassle for that little piece but had to get it done.

Indeed, I lost the left rear door lock switch cover somewhere when my daughter was in/out the backseat on Tuesday

Not a common failure but I wonder if the assembly came loose. If you open the door, on the side there should be a small plastic cover you can just pry off and there and torx screw in there that tightens that lock assembly.

Appreciate the help fellas. Local dealer had the part in stock for $100 and the body shop down the street charged me $75 to paint it. Will dab a little loctite on it tomorrow and install it. Can’t quite figure out why it even needed to be two separate pieces, much less why the damn thing would be designed to fall off so easily.

FYI - I've seen the part for sale around $20 on Amazon. Touchupdirect.com has good color match paint.

Good to know. Mine lasted until 78k, but can't imagine this is the last time one of these things will fall off.
