    S3 Intercooler Fitment issue

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
    Hello All,

New member here. I recently got a 2016 S3. I will be going to a stage 2 and was looking at some of the different Intercooler options. After searching I was only able to find out that the CTS intercooler requires some trimming. Does anyone know if their are any intercoolers for the S3 that so not require any trimming or cutting. Was looking at the APR, IE or Unitronic

    Thanks

I installed the Unitronic, no cutting.

Get the IE intercooler with the flow distribution system. Requires no modifications.

I got the "Majesty" one off eBay. Was very pleasantly surprised at the quality and a great price. No mods to the car required, though had to file a bit on the mounts on the IC as they were pretty tight.

Tangent off the original question. Anyone know which is the best performing? Looks like APR and IE have the best testing results, but to be fair, no one else seems to have as detailed results posted.

I plan on doing a fmic and deleting the pathway to the oe intercooler. Plan on going to a place that develops parts who has already done this on the golf r. We worked out a deal for the s3. I'll report back after the 27th if you can wait that long.

100% this, never had to modify any components during our installs.

PM me if you'd like to place an order as we have these in stock ready to go!

Nothing against IE. But the hoses constantly pop off their s3 intercooler...ruined quite a few track days for a good client of mine.
