Rear wheel leaning inwards at the top

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I recently found out the both of my rear wheels are leaning inwards at the top. The driver side rear wheel apparently leaning more compare to the passenger rear wheel. And I just have alignment done. It still leans inwards. What is exactly wrong with the rear wheel? Any ideas? IMG_0907.jpgIMG_0909.jpgIMG_0910.jpgIMG_0908.jpgIMG_0911.jpgIMG_0912.jpgIMG_0918.jpg

don't get fooled by the fender angle and look at your alignement sheet for the camber angle

Within spec so everything is fine, its just an optical thing.. Doesn't help that your tire is a bit stretched, sort of adding to the neg camber look.. The top of the wheels look like they are facing in because they are.. It's how performance suspension setting are set up..

Negative camber is expected, especially for sportier cars. It helps with handling around corners.

Like others have said, if it’s within spec, there’s nothing to worry about.

Your subframe could be slightly out of alignment. Not uncommon and most people don't notice it. My friend had this exact issue with his S4.
Check out this thread that shows what a misalignment looks like: https://www.audizine.com/forum/showt...rame-Alignment

    Hello

I didn't want to start a whole new Post for this... so seeing you people seem to be able to correctly interpret this graphics i will give it a shot

It happens that my car (2013 A6 C7 2.0TFSI) has the steering wheel a little tilted to the left, if i try to correct it it makes my car go a little to the right

I got it aligned and it improved, but it felt like it wasn't perfect. Two weeks later it was the same as before the alignment...

Do you think it is just a matter of re-aligning + rotating tires or do i need to get something else checked ?

Thanks for everyone who replied! I won’t worry about it too much. Might get some beefier tire, like 285/35/20. Currently running on 275/35/20 with a 10.5 inch wheel.

That’s exact same thing happens to my car right now! I have no idea what is wrong with it. Just did alignment. And it still doing the same thing but it improved a little bit.

at no time should the relationship of your steering wheel and direction that your car travels change over time, unless there is impact (severe pothole, accident, etc.).

at time of alignment the tech should have straightened the steering wheel (prior to any adjustments), braced it, and then made all adjustments. if the wheel was not centered and braced properly, they alignment was done while your wheel was off center, and will (should) always be off center until it is realigned.

bring it back to the shop if when holding your wheel centered does not direct your car straight.

Thank you for your message. I’ll drive a couple more days see if it will improve by itself. If not I’ll take it back to the dealer and redo the alignment.
