Audi A6 3.0T White Smoking coming out of exhaust

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Hey guys I have a 2012 Audi A6 3.0T and after not starting the car in about a week I turned it on today and white smoke immediately started poring out of my exhaust. I looked at my dash and it said check coolant level I turned the engine off and opened up the hood and saw I had almost no coolant in the engine. This was my fire time seeing the coolant light. Any ideas what is going on? Im guessing head gasket leak?
Any advice would be much appreciated.

No coolant and white smoke sounds like coolant leaking into oil . Doesn't sound good, please have it towed to your nearest dealer or Indy shop

I am calling to have it towed right now.
How/where do you think the coolant is leaking into the oil?
Also do you know any good repair shops in the Dallas aria.

Bad head gasket or cracked head can cause the smoke. Does not necessarily mean its in the oil, although possible. If MMI oil level is too high, that could indicate water is in there.

Could be a variety of things supercharger cores, gaskets, head gasket.

Probably bad oil cooler, fill it in antifreeze and run for 10 min if it doesn’t run hot or keep smoking you probably need a oil cooler.

After idling the engine for about 3 min the smoke did clear up.
it was worst at the start of it.

The video looks like you're doing one of those seafoam flushes.

    parts seem reasonable.
$4k for labor seems high. i really have nothing to compare it with, but at $125/hr that's 32hrs of labor. its really 32 hrs+/- for that job? maybe some one has the "book" time they can share.

and i mean its petty in the big picture, but for the spark plugs...i hope that is parts only? I have to assume so since they need to be removed for head gasket replacement anyway. its little things like that, that would make me feel uneasy about the rest of the quote, particularly the labor aspect.

with that said...they diagnosed it as bad headgasket? or is that an assumption they made. the oil cooler has been suggested to be checked. and Id make sure they do so before committing to a $6k bill.

They pressure tested the system and then found coolant in the cylinders. so they are sure its the head gasket.
I went over there today and asked about the spark plugs $300 and they said that was just the book time and they removed it off the invoice. they said they were not going to charge me for that.
