    Dead Battery 2014 RS5

    Good Morning,

I am newer to the RS5 platform as I just got out of a 997 so I am still learning about the RS5. This morning I was excited to find my battery appears to be dead on my 2014 RS5. Before I purchase a new battery is there anything the dealer needs to do once I switch out the battery? I was thinking about attaching a tender to the terminals to keep power and just switch out the batteries.

Also if anyone has any thoughts on what battery to use that would be great.

    Thanks

My 2014 just dies and replaced with this super light weight Anti-Gravity - need the 40ah version (they just came out with 60ah too but shouldnt be necessary):

Use Promo code "fanpower" for a $100 discount if it's still working. My tech was able to swap it out in my garage easily, though it's a lot smaller than the oem one.

Thanks AsherAudi. I thought the Bosch batteries I have been buying for the 997 were expensive, boy was I wrong. The Antigravity battery must be amazing for that price!

Its top of the line and MUCH cheaper than the competitor Lithium Ion which sells for like $2500. The 40ah version weighs 11.5lbs so you achieve a 35lb weight savings in the process and the built-in re-start jump start feature is pretty cool. You can always go with an OEM battery for less but this is the perfect time for you to upgrade and shave a little weight :)
