Extremely hot drivers side Floorboard + Moisture

Anyone know what would cause this area of my floor board to get extremely hot? I drive barefoot a lot and in the past week I have noticed it getting hot to the point that I can't keep my heel rested there even on top of my weather mat.

My p3 gauge showed my EGT's around 1600 in case that matters.

Additionally, I found some moisture in the same area when I lifted it up to take the picture, but no where else.

Trying to figure out how to trouble shoot this.

I don't have a 3.0 so excuse my ignorance, just gonna throw this out there. Could if be a catalytic converter that's not flowing well?

That was my immediate thought as well, but I think I found the issue. The moisture is the big clue. Pretty sure the AC/Evaporator drain is clogged on the driver's side. The moisture is conducting heat that I'm feeling through my rubber mat. A guy on the A6/A7 facebook group said the exact same thing happened to him. So I have to pull the carpet down and clear the clog. I'll update if it works.

My RS7 gets hot there when running hard, assumed its normal and heat dissipation from the DP's passing close to that area.

Will do. I know I have an exhaust leak of some kind, but I've had it a while and never had this issue.
