Question Changing headlight bulb on Audi A3/S3 8V (for pure white 5000-5500k light)?

I want to change the headlight bulbs on my 2016 S3. I have the Bi-Xenon headlights. The stock Xenon bulbs produce a slightly yellow light. I want to get 5000k or 5500k Xenon bulbs for a pure white light to better match the DRL. I've tried Googling but I can't find much. Has anyone does this? Can I just buy the bulbs and install them or is a new ballast required? Some people say the entire front bumper has to be removed just to change the bulbs!

In all reality that slightly yellow light will allow you to see better than a pure white light. A 4300K will put out more lumens than 5000k or higher. It also puts out a color that is easier on the eyes.

While I'm not familiar with your model changing bulbs should not require new ballasts. Once you get the old ones out you should be able to pop the new bulbs in.

    I’d recommend Osram CBI.
Not only are they whiter (5500k) than your oe bulb but they’re also significantly brighter. (3500 lumens vs 3200).

This is the lowest price I found for genuine bulbs when I was buying mine:

    https://www.ebay.com/itm/2-x-OSRAM-D...ss!66048!US!-1

The seller is lightwerkz, a reputable dealer for Morimoto, NHK and Diode Dyanmics products.
I wouldn’t buy from any eBay or amazon sellers without checking the authenticity first.
