So the other day my AC decided to shut off. It would only turn on with defrost on. No instrument lights on my dash worked after this but the instruments still worked. Later on that day i pulled the instrument cluster fuse. The AC worked as it should. If i out the fuse back in it would shut off and only work with defrost on.
Emergency button and AC controller stay illuminated when car is locked

That being said i replaced every single fuse on the panel and replaced the "370" relay. Issue still happens. I am at a loss and have o idea what else to do.

Anyone have any insight. I replaced the instrument cluster. The singals came on 15 minutes later but stayed solid and one stayed on after the car was powered off

Have you verified power at the compressor? What are the high and low side pressures?

i have not, but recently I have lost all power to controls and the instrument fuse no longer receives power. AC is working 100% now, but I do not have wipers, cruise, headlights, night time running lights, locks, or windows. Im assuming theres a ground issue somewhere? as I stated ac is working operating 100% but there is no power at the fuse itself for the instrument cluster.

Ive been searching for a wiring diagram for the fuse to see where it leads, I figure there is either a fried ground, or power at this point.

Scanning your control modules for fault codes would help narrow it down. Have you noticed any water on the floor after heavy rain?

Sounds like water intrusion into J393 or failure of J519. Could be either one. I would check for water under the carpet. If no water Change J519 and report back.

If i was to replace either of these, as long as i pull the same part # would it be a direct swap. or is this something that will need to be coded?

Just curious about j519. This is vin locked. Does a replacement need to be directly from another 1.8t or just similar year ? I have a buddy with a free vin on his rosstech. Can it be flashed and recoded through this?

Still looks like water intrusion in J393 or J519 as I mentioned earlier roughly 6 months ago. Did we verify there is no water in ebox or J393 and J519?? J519 supplies power to majority of the circuits in the car J393 can take alot of those circuits down if shorted or under water as it talks to alot of system in the car including cluster ac and so on.

I’ve replaced j393. No change. I’m going to buy another j519 here soon. As long as I get the same model, it should be plug and play no?
