Is anyone running 265/40/20 for their winter setup on the S7? Any issues? I figured it would be nice to have that little extra sidewall for those winter potholes!!!

Glad you asked abou this!! I did this last winter with my 2016 A7 on the 19 inch rims size 265/40R19 and it was a HUGE MISTAKE. The tires were too wide and they hydroplanned and plowed over the slush snow rather than digging through it during winter storms. I had the Michelin Pilot Alpine PA4 N-spec and I am selling them after 3 months of use and going back to Blizzaks size 245/45R19 on my 19 inch winter rims. THey were amazing compared to the wider 265 profile Michelins. I store my 20s with Michelins Pilot 4S for winter. Do not get the size 265/40R20 it will also rub on full turn too since sidewall is too high for your 20 inch rims. I would downsize to 19 inch rims and get a set of Blizzaks WS-90.

    i did 255/40/20 on a rs7, offset 20 wheels.

I get a little bit of rubbing, due to the low offset.

you may be safe from rubbing, but your speedometer will be slightly off

@Rexus300. I have an 18 A7 with 265/35r20 as stock tires with 20x9 wheel. I also plan on using 245/45r19 Michelin x-ice or Blizzak for winter here in South Dakota. I plan on buying a Hartmann 19x8.5 wheel, but not sure if I should ET25 or ET38 as they state both will fit A7. What wheel did you choose for winter setup. Any advice?

Looks like 255/40/20 would work well because of the skinnier tire width with a little extra sidewalk. Might try that out.
