I was quietly watching behind the scenes as one person after another commented on how much they liked the East Coast Euros mount kit.

I reached out to them for some details to see what they had going and was impressed with the owner and their product. That combined with the positive reviews from guys using it on the track prompted me to grab a batch which immediately sold out.

I’ve secured the next batch which is completing production and will be ready to ship next week.

The details:

-CNC 6061 aluminum billet arms, spacers & washers anodized black

-Complete replacement of the OEM rubber bushing with polyurethane bushing

-Everything needed to replace the OEM mount and insert are included

-Stiffer material and lack of voids in the bushing provide cleaner& quicker shifts, less hop and stands up to repeated launching and high output files without anything to bend.

-Tested for months on several 9 second cars before release

So with higher durometer material and a solid insert the question becomes how is the NVH?

Of course, it’s highly subjective but most everyone has reported only minor vibration under 1000 rpm which goes away once you go in to S. So basically some at idle but doesn’t sound like anything disqualifying. I’m sure guys on here running it can post up their impressions on the NVH.

Not removed but lowered including unbolting the sway bar. On a lift 1hr tops. You also have to cut the OEM bushing out or if u have the tool can press it out.

Frame needs to be lowered. Not a huge deal but the way I look at it is if you’re running a high output file and/or launching a lot, sooner or later you’ll be pulling the Oem bushing out in pieces anyway. Do it once early on and enjoy the benefits.

It appears stage 1+ ethanol and higher is bending inserts pretty quickly and damaging Oem bushing over time.

But upgrading the mount will definitely clean up shifts and make them less jarring on stage 1+ 93. I can’t remember how much slop the stock tune had but I reckon it could even help there as well.

Installed my ECE dog bone mount last night. Shifts are direct and smooth. There is no more jarring or clunking during shifts. Big difference even compared to the 034 upper and lower. Like Paul said there is nvh under 1000 but once you put it in s mode it goes away. Very happy with the results.

No upper or lower inserts are needed. The kit comes ready to go.

Anybody know if this would work with the front half of APRs pendulum (the part that bolts to the trans)? Or could I use just the ECE bushing and my existing aftermarket pendulum arm?

Has anyone run both the ECE Poly Mount and the APR Pendulum Mount with the Dogbone Insert? I'm looking for a true comparison between the two. I'm currently running the APR Pendulum Mount with the Dogbone insert and feel the nvh is a little too much and takes away some of the refinement out of the RS3 for daily driving. I'm getting varying nvh from 1K to 3K and examined the dogbone insert and its sitting correctly and not bent. Would love some unbiased feedback between the two..

You anywhere around Louisville ky? I'd drive a little so we can compare. I'm not very happy with the ece for the same reason and someone recommended the apr system it in the thread I started.

Question for folks that have installed this. How many hours would you anticipate a shop needing to install this?

I am taking mine to an APR shop that will charge me ~$250 to install. I have heard as little as $150 and as much as $400. It's about 2hrs, maybe less if the shop knows what they are doing and because of the subframe droppage you might need an alignment and that also factors into the cost.

Experience seems to vary. I'm working on reduction of nvh but mine was touching the h&r front sway. It was unbearable to me. I got lots of pedal vibration as well. I get the car back today and will post results in thread I started on ece and nvh.

If you drive in s mode all the time, you will barely notice it. If you drive in d mode, you will get some nvh at a stop in gear and in reverse. It was a huge improvement in reducing harsh shifting and preventing wheel hop on launch.

Got my ECE dogbone and H&R swaybar installed. NVH is minimal in my opinion and the shifts are smooth. I’m glad I decided on an ECE vs inserts. Thanks Paul@supremepower!
