Any resources I can use to find my EXACT parts per VIN#?

This is my issue, even holding the exact part in my hand it's a big "who the hell knows" as a simple 8D0857085 off the part produces pages of results...and my parts have non of the post fixed characters. And it's not just that, it's an entire list that I need to sort through. Even trying resources that are generic versions? of Etka and looking for a piece they're be 22 versions for the simplest piece. Widdle out the right hand drives and autos and now at 16 versions.

I never ever have luck contacting over seas suppliers with questions.....they just won't ever respond. I'm trying to find a resource to enter my VIN and only be supplied with parts numbers for only my car....not everything that's ever been built but only what came on my exact car.

What color is Anthracite anyways? What color is my interior?

    Interior Code NOE/QL

    Anthracite is grey by definition.

Etka provides description of different version, which one was used where and which config. Or type exact number and prefix and you should find it.

Thanks, my problem is my physical parts do not have prefixes....so when I type say: 8D1111111 it gives me 16 versions of 8D1111111 all with pre-fixes (post-fixes, aka...all ending with 8D111111PRZ or 8D111111PD4 or A34, etc etc).

And...all thee same color like my side fuse cover. A couple pieces are easy, only 2 too choose from...exactly one dove grey...exactly one articulate. But like post #2 they all have the very same part numbers...all look exactly the same...yet all have separate post-fix numbers.

Edit: Looks like Audi at times simply recycles the same photo over and over.....so the picture doesn't always add up to the true color which makes it more difficult.

Why so many issues, per Audi my car is 'nut brown with wood trim' inwhich it is not, purchased off the original owner and most certainly did have a 100% full blown interior swap not alone the interior wasn't ever touched.

Audi did inform me of "anthracite" interior, dealer color code E89 and BE5, yet also a "lava grey" dealer color code E40.

Since my car predates the internet there's just nothing to go off of, what ever pics I find of anthracite and lava grey BOTH look like my interior when I find pics or are nothing but dealer black & white diagrams.

Do notice, however the air vent itself is true black, the dash is not and almost has an ultra dark navy hue to it (it is not the royal blue that is available too & is not "onyx" which is black, as 97's did not come in onyx, atleast I find zero onyx per Etka or Audi of Germany)

Anthracite or Lava Grey? (Ignore the terminology of 'grey' as however obviously not grey....it is the color of cooled lava) Edit: A third challenger appears: Slate Blue

This pic below is not my personal car yet is my interior (minus wood belt trim). Note steering wheel and vents are true black, yet the doors/dash/trim are not.

Again, my color of dash, side fuse panel cover...yet it looks like he added a different color front center console...is that lava grey? If so.....lava grey can be ruled out

Any why so confusing? Per a 1997 dealership catalog Slate Blue looks very very much like it...yet Etka lists no such color...nor did the dealer mention Slate Blue and find no such color on parts listings but certainly see it in the official release Audi catalog: https://12v.org/urs/97AudiCDNS6colours2.JPG

    This is what I use:http://www.auto-parts.spb.ru/cat/au/au.mycat

So one of the part you listed: 8D1-867-271A, is the "lower pillar lining".

Vag Cat RU is showing the super early cars (production 11/94 > 9/95) would get part number 8D1-867-271 (no "A"). Then from 10/95 > 7/97 production, you get the "A" revision.

In any case, your "QL" interior code would call for that piece to be "anthracite" in color. So for your car that would be full part number: 8D1-867-271-A-E89 . I'm only seeing 2 colors of that particular panel for North American market in 1997. Either the dark color (anthracite) or what I'm assuming is the lighter color "lava (grey)".

Seems like they added a ton of colors for 1998. I have a '98 with the "maritime blue" cloth interior.
