does that mean that theyre increasing msrp by 4.5% for MY24?

If I hadn’t found a reasonable deal on a one year old RS6 - I’d def would have grabbed one of those four from Roger lol

    Why wouldn’t they?

Pricing always goes up year over year and often during mid year cycles too. Their cost of capital increases, their ability to produce decreases due to ongoing shortages, so it gets made up via selling price. Demand hasn’t gone flat, dealers are still getting over msrp, and that’s all been consistent….so all signs point clearly to raising the price is the right move from a business perspective, and the market will easily pay it.

Roger is spot on, as usual. He’s got a bird in the hand with existing allocations. If you want to be driving a car, at msrp, then it’s best to grab what limited slots he has. And, you’re then dealing with a group who will keep you updated and provide post deposit service…unlike what most others seemingly do as evidenced by this thread over the years.

Or, you could wait, and dollars to donuts, you’ll likely be posting in this same thread, waiting, a year from now, if you’re trying to hold out for a Performance (without any details) or an exclusive/ceramic 24, and paying over msrp (or at best, 4.5% more than now without any eta in sight).

I have zero skin in the game anymore, having left the brand in that capacity, but I know which way I’d go.

I got my salesman to forward me the email from the distributor. Here is what it said:

"WUA1CBF29PN****** is currently under quality hold, at this time the ports are awaiting factory instruction and do not have an ETA for release.

    Best regards,

To me, that sounds like there are multiple vehicles with a hold...otherwise they wouldn't have used ports (multiple).

I received the same message almost two weeks ago. Makes me wonder what it could be as it is also effecting other S Line models

If you are waiting for an allocation and you can do without AE paint and ceramics, RUN don't walk to claim one of these. They will not last. Roger and the team at the dealership are fantastic to work with, as well.

I concur on this. Plus, there is no guarantee that Performance Edition, AE paint or CCBs will even be available for MY24s. Bird in the hand.

I believe it, and I understand it. I have an allocation thats supposed to be built in June. (COMM #4L2766 if anyone would like to confirm if its still on track)

I was just clarifying what he meant to understand the implications should mine slip to MY2024.

Up until we just got these last 4 allocations, we had 5 total for the last 14 months. That means some (actually about half) of the 12 folks have been already waiting over a year - and STILL have no allocation. Now, several (again about half) want to 'wait' to get a Performance. My concern is that they will CONTINUE to wait at either our dealership or at least 1 or 2 others (as many are doing, with multiple deposits) to 'see' who pops in first. I'm not against this, it's just the game to play. But the bottom line is that many folks will STILL be waiting and may never see an Avant for themselves, or have to buy on the open market a used car as many folks get their jollies and dump them after 3-4K miles to net a nice cost plus $5-20K. Afterall, market is market - or they'll buy something else.

It just is what it is - make your own calls... y'all know how to reach me if you like ;-)
I know I will be waiting for AE paint and Carbon Ceramics for the 24 RS6 Performance... Hopefully production gets on track before they open orders in the US.

My build scheduled for wk28 has just been moved up to wk27!! For the first time I believe the car may be real :)

Sebring Black on Cognac, the RS6 comes pretty loaded in Canada so I think the only thing I don’t have are ceramics and I chose the air suspension but 2nd guessing that decision a bit, but my build is locked anyway (roads kinda suck here). Fingers crossed!

Still no word on my car. I was told by my salesman that the dealership had another inventory car, a TTS, with the same hold on it as my car. I wonder if something happened to the ship during transport.

Stuff happens all the time at Port. Movements, shuffling around - PIA work - little things. Most are quite minor actually, but take a day or 3 to get sorted ... unless the dealer is pro-actively notified (not just a 'Damage" comment or hold), then it's almost fixed before it's noted.

That was my original thought but I haven’t seen any bad reviews of the dynamic suspension. If I get a performance I may consider it.

Got an unexpected communication that I moved from 18th on a waitlist to having an allocation (also changed my comm #). Not complaining, just cautious as all previous info indicated I should expect to wait another 10-12 months for an allocation (original order date of mid June 2022). Could you confirm status on comm # 4L9687? Curious to know what actually went on behind the scenes but suspect I will never know.

STILL a Changeable Order and NOT scheduled - this late with CCBs, we changed ours to get a build - hope you get luckier - you might want to check with your ABS - I'd not even believe the current ETA with that issue -

btw, that Comm was created last June - so it was due up ;-)

Thanks for the update and confirmation. Is the standard practice to roll an order (recreate the order) as a ‘24 if the build gets pushed out past the ‘23 production window? I will follow up with my ABS as well.

Hopefully, Roger can tell me that mine is also starting to move? COMM# 4V2139
NOPE - this Comm is STILL on Audi Kirkwood's WAITLIST - why on earth they would make a comment like "Sold Hot Rush" on a WAITLIST is beyond me - but with AE Paint and CCBs - this car will be LUCKY to move to MY24 ... and make it by year's end.

Hey y'all : I just looked up a few data points that many of you may be thinking about : Check these last AE Avants ...

    #1 : Build Week : 1523 Production Complete : June 1st Scope : AE paint, CCBs

    #2 : Build Week : 1723 Production Complete : May 31st Scope : AE Paint, CCBs

    #3 : Build Week : 1823 Production Complete : June 1st Scope : AE Paint, CCBs

You can see how long AE Paint and CCBs are taking right now - if cars have spent nearly 5-8 weeks in Production ...

Thank you Sir!! I guess while I wait for Audi to get their stuff together, maybe interest rates will settle down some by the time I need to think about paying for this car...
