Video: Foam cannon battle! What is the best foam cannon?

    Hi guys,

An interesting challenge today, a battle of 5 foam cannons. Same user, same pressure washer, same day, same conditions, same snow foam, same dilution ratio, same water source, pre-rinsing before each foam cannon is used. I tried to keep it as scientific as possible.

Let me know which one you preferred!

    Hey Pan,

Great video. I always enjoy watching your video's to learn more about detailing. And as a bonus you're a fellow Canadian which is always a bonus to support.

I have the same Kranzle pressure washer and use the PF22 also as my go to for foam cannons. I don't quite get the same thickness of foam and it could be due to harder water or using different soaps, but I guess I'm wondering how much it matters. Having a really thick foam is cool to see, but I feel like one that is slightly thinner and would run/drip more would help in removing dirt from the surface. Am I wrong? I guess I'm just thinking more about what is best in terms of actual cleaning abilities and the foam thickness. Do you have any thoughts on the best type of foam for the best pre wash?

    Thanks

Thanks for the kind words. I appreciate it. Many factors influence how rich and how thick snow foam will be including:
    - type of pressure washer
    - type of foam cannon
    - type of snow foam
    - dilution ratio of snow foam
    - hard water vs soft water
    - applying in direct sunlight on hot panels vs in a garage on cool panels
    etc.

In your case, the equipment is not at fault as you have top of the line pressure washer and foam cannon. Kudos to you. If you have hard water issues where you live, that is one of the biggest factors that will alter the snow foam's thickness. I have a water softener system at home, plus my water was super soft to begin with.

I don't really use snow foams to clean the car, I mainly use them as lubricants to help remove some of the loose dirt, contaminants, and pollen before a contact wash, all in efforts to minimize chances of getting swirls and scratches. So I don't look for cleaning ability. If cleaning capabilities is one of your priorities, Griot's Garage Foaming Surface Wash is one of the best.

    I reviewed it here:

But for my use, Adam's Mega Foam is my new go-to snow foam. I reviewed it in this video:
