Painted S6/7 calipers

Tried a quick search, but didn’t see a thread for the S6/7. Has anyone painted their brake calipers on an S6/7? If so would like to see pictures of the fronts. Thinking bout painting mine when I do my brakes and was curious how you preserved the logo cleanly. Or maybe you just bought a new logo to go over the new paint.

I wouldn't worry about the logo, you can buy high heat caliper decals on eBay fairly cheap with a near perfect logo

You need new logos and you need to pit the logos on then clearcoat on top of those.

I was actually thinking bout getting my brakes done in a white and had no idea how it would look on estoril blue, and with rotors, same wheels on urs. it looks great!

I do my brakes too and would love to paint the rotors. I assume you need to remove calipers from the brake lines to do this well? Never done that.

It have original air suspension with App control so i can adjust the height as i want.
This is my driving height tho ;)

Its simple :)
Remove the calipers, make/buy new stickers, leave the calipers to a car paint shop and make them pint them, put on stickers and make them clearcoat over the stickers, install calipers on car again ;)

I did all four of mine on the car using G2 epoxy paint. The kicker is that you only have four hours before the paint sets so you have to lift the car and remove all four wheels, go overboard with cleaning, then paint. The prep is always the most important part.

I bought the decal off Ebay and asked the seller to make the "square" black to match the blacked out "square" on my supercharged badge.

I used Dupli-Color caliper paint. I used the brush version. The kit came with brake cleaner, which worked really well. I also used a Scotch-Brite non-scratch scrub sponge to scrub the calipers. Used IPA in the last step to clean really well. The Dupli-Color caliper paint has a long working life so you could even do one caliper at a time, and not worry about it curing too quickly. I painted my calipers over a couple of days. Also, get yourself some artist brushes if you use the brush paint. The brushes that come with these kits are poor, and leave streak marks.

EDIT: I painted the calipers without removing them. Stickers were from eBay. No clear coat after, and they've held up well.

Sorry for the late reply, working overseas and not on here much at the moment (Cars in storage )

These were powder coated by my local brake shop (UK) Colour is “Porsche Yellow”

Decals are from eBay, and not clear coated afterwards. I was advised not to clear coat, as the callipers get so hot, that with clear over the top of the decal it can cause cracking (of the decal)

Been painted about 2 years now, still pristine after a power wash
