Dunlop Conquest Sport A/S tires anyone heard of them?

I just bought a 2012 S5 Cab & it came with these tires new but I can’t find anything about them anywhere. I searched everywhere I hope they aren’t garbage tires that were quickly discontinued. Even Dunlop’s website doesn’t have any info on them. The fact that they are brand new & I got the wheel & tire warranty I don’t want to get anything to replace them. I wish I test drove another S5 cab prior to purchase to see what they should handle like but this is only one I drove.

Can you take a picture of the sidewall with the Dunlop labeling and post it?

Check this out....Tire Rack has a crazy sale price on the OEM 19" Dunlops that used to come on the A5 S-Line and S5. It looks like they are discontinuing that particular tire, but it's a great deal on an OEM tire.

Wow that is a sick deal for summer tires but I’ve had a separate set of rims/tires on my last 4 cars & am sick of swapping over. I’m glad this one came with all season so I don’t have to switch them out in winters.

To each their own, but I personally like having dedicated summer and winter tires. All seasons are a compromise, but I don't like running them in the winter because they don't perform that well when things get slick.

I have these on my S5 (265/30/20) and found them to be absolutely terrible in heavy rain/standing water. We tend to get pretty heavy downpours here somewhat regularly and based on my experience, I'd never recommend these tires.

It's this fun time where I can go skiing and snowmobiling and drink hot cocoa near the fireplace. Unfortunately, it's not the best time for cars. But I have a Jeep for the win-ter, so the Audi stays warm and cozy in the garage most of the time.

Those tires came on my 2011 when I purchased it new (255/35/19) and I found them to be good in rain and heavy downpours. I'd buy them again for sure.

    Oh.

Our seasons in Phoenix, AZ are "Hell On Earth" and "All of Canada is in Town."

Although we can do the fun stuff with the white, powdery stuff (snow, not cocaine...at least for me) if we drive 2-3 hours away either North or South from the Phoenix Metro area about 2 months out of the year.

Monsoon season in Colorado is a bit different than heavy rain back east. All the water comes down in about 2 or 3 minutes instead of a period of an hour or so. It is very difficult to drive in without very good tires.

Hate to bump such an old thread, but these are Dunlops only available to Audi/VW dealers. You'll also find some other manufacturers with these, but, again, they're only available in the dealer channel. In essence, it's a private line SKU made for dealers, so you won't be able to crosshop them with third party places like Discount Tire, Belle Tire, etc.

Nice tire with an All-Season and High-Performance All-Season option. Nothing wrong with them. Thread wear ratings between 45 and 65k, depending if you have the Sport A/S or the Conquest.

Not Necessarily. The Dunlop Sport Maxx (summer) tires on my car (not an exclusive to Audi dealers) are far cheaper from Audi than they are from Discount Tire, Tire Rack, etc. It always pays to shop around.

I actually had these on the S5 when I bought it, too. There was a really quick, wet snow that hit right as I was picking up my wife's friend from the airport. Spent the whole ride home trying to not shit my pants, because I was skating all over the place.

Well, the Conquest line is only sold through the dealers, so they wouldn't show up at Tirerack or Discount Tire. That said, it all depends on the dealer's markup structure. Won't necessarily be more expensive. I too think they're better than those Sport Maxxs.
