Cell Phone Holder

Just curious what others use for cell phone holders. The S6 doesn't have any good spots to keep a phone, especially with no power points on the dash anywhere. Currently, my phone just gets stashed away since there are no good spots for it.

The only one I've found that works is a magnetic attachment one that attaches to the windshield by auction and comes out between my steering wheel and monitor screen. Just enough space inbetween.

On my A7 I stash both my phones in the little cubby in front of the shifter. I use the power plug that is under the arm rest.

I'm a big fan of the Brodit Proclip, I've used them in every car I've owned for the past decade.

While I own an A6, it's in the same boat. I use a wireless charging dock from iOttie (Model #HLCRIO136AM) which securely attaches in the CD slot since I don't use CD's anymore. Works a charm, is stable, and is easily adjustable for view and interaction with the phone. I have the dock plugged into the 12V in the arm wrest.

Got this for the wife but i use it too when i drive it. Holds my Note 9 perfectly and the screen closing doesnt touch the phone.

Magnetic ones are good for small spaces. I don't know your car but another possible spot on mine is the space next to the headlight switch or key port.

The holder I ordered arrived today. I did not want the wireless charging model because I do not want a wire always attached to the mount. I hate having wires run in the car. My phone (Note9) has a large battery that will last for most trips just fine. On a longer trip, I am fine with plugging a wire in. Overall, I like it. Its pretty small so it doesn't detract too much from the beautiful dash of the car, yet works well. I like that more then half of the air vent is still exposed and provides plenty of air. With the 99 degree weather today, the AC worked just fine with the phone mounted. Thanks for all the suggestions everyone.

I use the iOttie in the CD slot. The CD slot is very thin, most mounts I tried would not fit in and I was afraid it would break. This one fits securely.

I’m using it with CF trim works fine just be careful mounting it so you don’t crack it.

Works fine on the carbon trim, I’ve had mine installed for 3 years now.

Nah, I have Carbon Atlas in my ‘18 A6 and I’m using the same ProClip mount. It works perfectly fine. :)

It is a little difficult because it is made exactly for the dash and fits very tight. I moved mine from the driver's side vent to passenger side and it didn't scratch anything.
