    Windshield Washer Nozzles Suck

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Not sure if this is all a3/s3/rs3, but on my 19 rs3 the windshield washer fluid sprayers are absolutely terrible. They just shoot a couple tiny streams of fluid with no spray/coverage or anything, then wipers smear it around. Basically doesn’t do shit....

Anyone else notice how awful they are?

With a little searching you could have saved yourself the trouble. But hear you go, buy these part numbers. They are a6 nozzles I believe, have them on mine. They mist instead of the stream.

    Part numbers:

Yes they suck. Search..... you’ll see threads ranting and links for replacement solutions from other models.

Much appreciated! Just wasn’t sure if I was being over dramatic or if all Audi’s were like this(my first Audi).

No problem, I personally used them to deter tailgaters, lmao.

So if let’s say Jeremy Clarkson was swapping out the washer nozzles on your RS3, he obviously would not notice the super convenient quick disconnects and would try removing the elbow from the heat shrinked tube. In doing so he would then break the quick fit connection.

Does anyone have the part number to replace the quick fit plug/90 degree elbow?

Once discovered, I, I mean he, made quick work of the second nozzle.

Can someone post a brief install video. I’m sure it’s easy but I’d probably f### it up.

While we’re on this topic. Is there a way to turn off the headlight washers? Those are a pain in the arse too!

Do ours pop and spray or pop, rotate then spray? I think the rotate type are worse...

Good question, I'm not sure. I will need to have my wife hit it while I am standing out front to check that out.

Sorry to bump this thread, just did the install and the strength of the actual nozzle barely passes half of my windshield. Gonna try to soak the part and see if there's something blocking it.

Btw it took 3 months for my nozzles to come from cars234 lol.

I've been waiting more than 3 months, they've been in Chicago for over a month and haven't moved. They told ME to file a claim - lol?

Mine was stuck there forever too. USPS apparently having delays with international shipments coming in.

So got everything to work. If using OBDeleven go to electronics (9) then search for front wipers then go to the option that has 2000ms. Then change to 500ms. I was trying to follow an older post on the obd forum but the naming actually changed a bit.

My badges from cars234 are currently stuck in Chicago as well...

Use a torx to adjust it near the nuzzle. What I did was set it up to the highest setting which yours probably is at on default then do two and a half whole rotation to lower it and it's perfect. I'm surprised how flimsy it is. Be careful not to keep rotating it, the actual nozzle will start to go inside or come out of the actual housing lol.

I’m confused. Maybe because I haven’t dissected it but it looks like a rubber piece with 3 outlets.

The OEM nozzles are 3 outlets. The replacement A6 fan/spray nozzles use a #8 torx to make an adjustment. I have switched to the A6 version and find that having some spray go onto the roof ends up giving the best coverage.

    Question RS3 Windshield Sprayers

I have a 2019 RS3 and was glad to see a solution to the lousy OEM windshield sprayers. I contacted Cars245, but they are saying that the part #'s listed previously in this thread are not compatible with my car?? Sounds like others have used them, but I want to confirm that they will work before making the purchase.

Confirmed. I've used part numbers listed to replace the the stock windshield sprayers on a 19 RS3 and 15 S3. Technically they are A6 windshield sprayers which is why company is saying the parts are not compatible. But they fit perfectly.

I bought one from an A6 after finding the part number here. It was the same shit. So I swapped my old one back and moved on.

The A6 ones create and actual spray pattern, where the 3 series ones are a straight stream. Not the same shit at all.

A6 fan spray pattern is better. I used to dread using the stock windshield washer...

I wonder if there is a way to change the spray duration?
