Hey I have just one question after searching B8 forum for our 2010 A4. Can I get Spotify to play in our vehicle and if so what's involved? Thanks!

I've never done the reverse, assumed it's not possible vs Bluetooth from car to phone.

Either streaming it through bluetooth or go the RSNav way....

Can't stream on a 2010 A4 (the old 2G, 3G bluetooth units) - as they didn't support the protocol. Only on the 3G+ can you natively stream music without any additional hardware.

on 3G you can easily retrofit an AMI cable by swapping the jack one on the back of the quadlock... then connect a Tune2Air WMA3000A to the AMI and you're set!*

    Then you're fine...
Get the AMI retrofit harness, unplug the green aux cable plug from the quadlock (back of the MMI) and plug in your new cable...
Then you gotta reflect that you have an AMI in green menu.

Are you simply looking to play Spotify wired-in? If so:

    1. If you have an iPhone with the lightning port, just use the lightning-to-mini adapter that came with you phone, then just use a mini-to-mini cable to your aux input
    2. If you have an Android phone, just use a mini-to-mini cable to your aux input

If you're looking to play Spotify over Bluetooth, knowing a little more about your current tech setup would be helpful.

    1. If you have an AMI unit in your glovebox, you can get the Tune2Air adapter like others have suggested and go that route.
    2. If you do NOT have an AMI unit in your glovebox, there several aftermarket adapters or mods you can do to gain bluetooth audio. At that point it's just a matter of how much you want to spend and what all you're hoping to gain! I have a thread about a retro CarPlay/Android Auto kit on this site, but that's a spendy route if all you want is bluetooth audio. You can check it out here though if you like.
