First C7.5 in USA w/Matrix Audi Headlight Retrofit

I'm very late to post this but wanted to get the info out! Alex and I worked together after WidebodyFX successfully did his RS7 conversion. Once we ironed out fuse locations and such, he sent me the necessary cable for the Matrix lighting!

When going from LED>Matrix, the original Modules will not work. You'll need to purchase a set of Matrix lights that come with their necessary modules and fans. Going from LED>Euro LED was a simple afair, simply swapping modules over from existing North American headlights. After many weeks of hunting I finally found a set of GOOD condition Matrix lights. I'll suggest to simply order the entire light assembly from Alex and sourcing your own pair that is honestly in good enough condition to swap into your vehicle is really tough.

Without further ado, here are a few video's in action. My car has a Europrice conversion harness with OEM Audi European Tail lights along with OEM Audi Matrix headlights. Alex performed the coding necessary once we did a test-fit with harness, once we verified all functions worked as expected, I was told to finalize the install!

Dark roads with Automatic lights switched, you can actively see the lights dimming around cars and signs. Once glare is noticed the lights switch off that beam while illuminating everything around the sign/glare, very cool but very odd seeing your brights "on" while facing incoming traffic.

Depends on if you're purchasing the full meal deal or sourcing your own lights. I was able to sell my Euro LED's to recoup a large portion luckily. I'd say ~3k on the low-end

All C7.5 variants (Europe) have the Matrix option. RS6 however have completely been blacked out inside the headlight whereas A6/S6 have silver paint inside the headlight.

For $3k+ I’ll happily continue rocking the stock led lights. These look great without a question but damn that’s a lot of money for a cosmetic thing and especially given how nice the stock led lights are to begin with.

Yes, it costs a lot of money to make the USA watered down version into the high tech version that the ROW get. If anyone in the US government could drive then they might get off of their duff and allow some technology that was invented after WW2.

We should all tell our dealers that we want this feature as an option so, hopefully, the feedback will get back to the mothership. The cost is prohibitive because you have already bought thousands in lights and hardware that you then leave in the garage and replace with the real thing at heavy additional cost. The time to push is when you buy the car and threaten not to purchase because they are trying to sell you inferior product.
The manufacturers association should really push the government authorities to wake up to advancements in technology. There is something wrong when third world countries get advancements that the USA cannot get.

Only Audi USA can petition the us government, the consumer doesn’t have the resources. Our only recourse is to complain to the dealer and hope it eventually gets back to corporate.

I've read that Audi is trying to get them into the USA, but it takes a lot of time to get the law/rules changed.
