    Maryland emissions testing troubleshooting

Hey folks, I've run into an interesting issue and I can't seem to find any definitive answers to the questions I have.

    The Issue
-I went to the VIEP self-service kiosk at the Gaithersburg MVA this morning. The test concluded that "...one or more of my sensors is not ready. The vehicle has not failed. Please drive normally for 1 week and return to re-test."

    Background
-My car has the IE Stage 2 dual pulley tune for 93 octane fuel. I've been running this tune for 3 months and 5K miles thus far.
-VCDS indicates that the secondary air injection system is "incomplete or failed" everything else is passing
-Aside from the ECU, the only emissions related modification I have is an oil catch can.

I've already posted in my model specific forum asking questions about the IE tuning software and if that's primarily responsible.

My question for you fine folks:
-Would having an oil catch can affect the SAI system somehow? The path length of the breather tubes is certainly longer now, but the system is still sealed.

Any help/insight would be immensely appreciated! Thanks guys!

How quickly did you get to VEIP after starting the car in the morning?
Clear any codes with VCDS recently?

~40min drive (from Columbia Heights, DC)

    I haven't cleared any codes since mid-April

Update: Looks like IE disables the cold start function on all dual pulley tunes, so the SAI system doesn't get to run its test and registers as "incomplete".

I'm able to force readiness by running an SAI test through VCDS, and maintain readiness after restarting the car when warm.

I'm going to check again after a cold start and see if the issue persists. If it does, I'll run the test again to force readiness, drive to the emissions station, test via VCDS first, then submit to official testing if everything looks kosher.
