Looking at my 2012 A7 service for reference at the moment.
15k MAJOR SERVICE
Oil and filter change - price varies with dealer. Can be done at home for under $50. My dealer wants $200 but from what I hear from others they are very high. Many others have reported half that cost.
Brake system - check for damage, pad thickness, and brake fluid level. Its just a check, if all is good there is no cost involved just labor. Labor that can be done at home
Reset service reminder - can be done at home with VCDS or OBD11 $200 for VCDS but then you have it for the life of the car and longer
Check tires and spare - no cost just labor. I actually just take it to my tire shop and let them screw with it along with rotate and balance for free
Windshield washer fluid. Less than $2.00 per gallon at the grocery store
Wiper blades check - my dealer wanted $50 for a set that I got through Rock Auto for less than $15
Rotate Tires - see above statement
Check trans and final drives for leaks - no cost if nothing wrong.
Check battery - again no cost if nothing wrong
Check Cooling system
Some say to lubricate door hinges and straps. $3.00 for WD40 if you really want to
Replace dust / pollen filter - Much cheaper to buy your own and replace than at the dealer although the location on the A7 is a real PITA
Check engine compartment for leaks
Check exhaust system
Check axles
Lube hood hinges
Check horn function
Check front and back lighting
Remove and clean the plenum panel
Check ribbed V-belt
Road test
Lubricate sliding roof.
As you can see 90% of the "major service" is to check and see if anything is wrong. Very little cost is involved in parts or fluids. If you pay enough attention to your car while driving it every day the "official" check list should take you a matter of a couple hours at home. . . . or less.
Whether Audi Care is "worth it" is subjective. If you are a DIYer or have a great indy shop that only charges like $100/hr, and/or don't have a 4.0T, it probably won't be worth it to you IMO. But some people also don't have the time or space to work on their car and rather have the simplicity of scheduling a service appointment, dropping off their car and driving away in a new Audi loaner.

On a 4.0T, that would have included DSG oil/filter or sport diff for RS7, and spark plugs on top of the standard engine oil/filter, cabin filter, air filter, and brake flush, so definitely worth it.

I had a coupon similar to the second coupon in the first post, tried using it for Audicare, was denied. said it wasn't applicable to pre-paid service packages. Ive never seen one specific for Audicare. That is an excellent deal.

the spark plug change can also be PITA on the 4.0t.
depends how much you value youre time.
the above 2 services are the tipping point for Audicare to be worth it. even more so if you care about documented service history.
Thanks Daytona rs7, these are the exact reasons I purchased my glorified 55k/65k oil change services, the $100 discount was just the cherry on top. I wanted the dealer documented service history to avoid eligibility issues when it's time to purchase the "big" 75k service. I've changed the spark plugs on my S7 already and to be honest I'd rather not do it myself again. Local indy shops quoted me about $600 each just for the DSG and spark plug change, so for $879msrp for AudiCare to have these done and an extra oil change is a great deal.

I was gonna get audicare till I found out my 35k DSG service was done @ 21k miles ( currently at 28k ). next DSG service I believe is at around 70k (?)
don't think audi care will cover that until I'm anywhere close to it. who knows if I will even have the car lol
The next scheduled DSG maintenance is with the 75k service. My 35k service was performed at 24k but I'm going by the annual interval instead of miles so I'll probably have my DSG serviced as part of the 75k service at about 60k miles.
There are mileage requirements to purchase different Audi Care select packages which can be found here:
http://audilibrary.audiusa.com/servi...are/index.html The good part is you don't need to purchase Audi Care if you don't plan to keep the car.
