    Black Audi circles

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I have a Nardo Gray with black optics on order - ETA next week. I want to replace the rear chrome circles with OEM black circles but I am on the fence about replacing the front ones for several reasons: (1) more difficult installation and (2) not sure if I’ll like look of black circles against black grill. Would it look tacky or inappropriate to have chrome circles on front grill and black on the trunk. I know this is a first world issue but interested in your opinions.
    Thanks,

To be honest I feel the exact same way , I'm waiting on a white one with black optics to come in and I am not the biggest fan of the all black rings on the black grill but want the black rings on the rear . I like the contrast and I think it'll look good . Even thought about painting the front one same color white as the car but idk

I’ve got all black emblems all around except the front rings. I think it looks great.

I had a silver tts that I painted front rings to match car. I never liked it. I would keep it black or chrome. I have black on back chrome on front. Looks great. Can’t see back and front of car ever together. Lol. My rs3 on front is black also. Looks stealthy the headlights have some chrome in them so I think the front rings being chrome looked good.

First off, welcome. It's all preference as far as the badging and colors go. I have a Nardo with black optics and decided to change all the front and rear to black emblems. I wanted a more consistent theme throughout the car, so went with Nardo/black/carbon. Here are some pics to help with your decision as well as a video I recorded on how to change out the front rings. Patience and soft pry tools are your friends.

I have white with black front and back and think the back emblems should have come with the black optics. So much better. You didn’t mention the rear RS 3. You need to do that also.

You can't. That's the problem I'm having with my S3. All the ones you can buy aftermarket do not have the same color red as OEM. I'm getting mine from here:

    https://www.facebook.com/BLACKLABELZ.MUC/

Talk to David. He buys the OEM emblems and does them in black with the OEM red flag.

No, I am doing the same thing and I agree the black front circles completely disappear. I HATE chrome as much as anyone...but I feel like the branded identity of the car is important from the front. The real question is are you going to leave the QUATTRO logo on...I am kinda preferring mine off at the moment.

Why would they not match OEM if these are OEM ??? I'm looking at buying the same set

I am with you on this one as well. I painted my front rings Nardo and had a black pair. In the end, I did not like the paint matched rings and definitely not the chrome, so when I went back to black rings, it was all right in the world :)

Correct me if I’m wrong but I think they were OEM for another car or older RS3 model but don’t match the new RS3

FYI, search the black rings part number and there are significantly cheaper options than paying $200 MSRP.

Good call, found the same exact rings except labeled for an S3, same part number, for $152.

I think it looks pretty sweet on white. I’m still pending to receive the front and rear RS3 emblems in black from e-acca (cheapest price on OEM on the planet IMO). I can post pics on those once I get them

I replaced all of mine, so the red matched perfectly. May not be a popular option, but I used WinnAuto Sports. Front and rear black rings, front and rear RS3 badging- I think I paid ~$95 shipped for all of it.
I know some people have had issues with their front rings, but mine fit as they should. I think he also has revised the rear RS3 to be OE size as well. Mine was purchased at release and is slightly larger than OE.

I had to use Winn for the RS3 emblem. The facebook link above looks like another good option. RS3 from Winn was exact sizing.

Cheapest place I’ve found to buy OEM parts. Only thing is they come from Latvia so it takes ~2-3 weeks to get. Shipping is sometimes cheaper than statewide. Excellent customer service. I couldn’t find the OEM part number for the rear black rings. I just got a combo for front and rear from an AUDI dealership on eBay and used those.

    Good luck!

There is an option to switch languages from Russian to English (top right corner on the world icon) and price to USD (once you click on an item). Natalja, the customer service rep speaks English as well

My OEM front/black rings have like 5 obnoxious rock chips in under 6k miles, never driven outside of the city. They look terrible due to the white on black color contrast (material is white/light under the black paint).

Anyone else rocking black rear badges and leave the front alone? I just ordered the OEM rear black rings/RS3, but not the front. Kind of second guessing myself because it is bothering my OCD a bit but in a vacuum I definitely prefer the contrast in the front. Car is Nardo with black optics.

I run black in the rear and left the front (I actually misplaced the black emblem lol)

I thought it'll bother me but I actually like the contrast with the black optics package. I have an ara blue.

Back all changed to black. Center grill black... front chrome RS3 grill badge alone. Same as you... NARDO with BO and I think the BLACK badges match well. Will get around to changing GRILL RS3 to black. Just think the chrome clashes with rest of NARDO BO look but that's my opinion...

I think the black on the back is 100% improvement with nardo and BO, just never got around to it I guess. If the front badge was on the hood like a TT I would feel the same way about that but in the middle of the grille, not so sure. Can always change it later if I change my mind.

    Black Audi circles

I actually ordered my 2020 with black badges because it was an option in 2020. The factory messed up my order and i got chrome badges. Not too big a deal since badges are easily switched. I went back and forth on which badges to switch to black. At the end of the day i just did the back (to start) and i think i am happy. It was a must as far as im concerned for the back. On the front the more i have looked i dont think i like the grill area being all black. Especially since i have a front license plate. If i didnt have a plate i would probably go all black but with a plate there is already a big white/silver eye-sore.

Like you said we can always change it in the future.

    My car is white.

I am with you. I don't really like how the front rings disappear when in black.
