    3.0 Waterpump Replacement

My waterpump is leaking fluid so I have to replace it. Rather than go to Audi and spend $700 I'd rather do it myself.

Someone on a FB group said you can do it easily without removing the bumper if you had a few specialty tools. I inquired but he never got back to me. Does anyone know what these tools would be? Thank you!

TL:DR - What tools make changing the water pump simple?

I know you asked about tools and i thought that was in that thread but it looks like it’s just the steps. I am guessing a set of triple squares might be needed. Those seem to be specific to the Germans

Yes. and while you are in there you should do a full tune up:

    -Temp Sensor
    -Thermostat
    -PCV
    -Water Pump
    -Valve Cleaning
    -Supercharger oil change

Then you won't need to mess with it again. Make sure the shop checks the PCV lines going to the PCV as well.
