    Audi Hood Scoop TTRS

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Ok so I’ve now convinced myself I want the Audi ( or aftermarket ) hood scoop on my 18’ TTRS.
I wish there was a way to properly install the hood scoop in my stock hood but it doesn’t look like there is.
    At least not yet.
Anyone done this yet or salivating over it?

I like it a lot and was all gung-ho till I got the pricing.

I was quoted $3625 for the hood, not including shipping but I imagine its $$ due to size.

Probably $1000 to paint, cost of new ring logo and install. So $5k+ makes it easy to overlook, at least for me.

    I agree
    That’s too expensive.
    But it really looks amazing.
Maybe if the hood were cf it would be more justifiable because of weight savings
Or perhaps an aftermarket scoop that would fit with the stock hood

I was tempted to buy the vent and try it on a stock hood - but considering it's designed to sit in a recess I didn't think it would look quite right.
If my TTRS were seeing > 20 days a year on track I might foot the $ for hood+vent, but I'm doing less track these days so... no. :-(

I’m sure it’s function of providing additional cooling certainly shouldn’t be overlooked, but I just really think it makes the front of the car look a whole lot meaner.
IMHO it’s the single coolest looking add on made for the car.

This may be an alternative for the hood and it's GBP 625

That looks like a MUCH more functional scoop/vent as well. Another reason I don't see the justification for the AudiSport one with it's cost which is so small it really borders on form over function. Although it's so large I would be worried about vandals/punks dropping stuff inside being jerks.

That one is fiberglass, not CF but for the price..............even after shipping to the states.........really thinking about it, maybe for Christmas...... :)
