    Car randomly dies while driving

So I just finished driving my car from Louisiana to Colorado and I kept having a weird issue where the car would randomly die while driving and then wouldn’t start again. If I’d wait about five minutes and try again it would start right up and drive just fine.
Could this be the crank sensor or one of the cam sensors?

If it’s a crank sensor you will have a fault stored in the ecu for the crank sensor so first step would be to check the ecu fault memory. Sounds like it could be your fuel pump overheating at times causing fuel pressure to drop and the engine to stall. Does it crank but not start when this happens?

Ok. Check the ecu fault memory fist and see it any faults are stored. If not you can install a fuel pressure gauge and monitor fuel pressure and see if it drops when the engine dies. If it does it almost always a fuel pump but it could be the fuel pump relay.

    ^ do that.

A fuel pump swap if it is bad is easier than you can imagine.
