Aftermarket exhaust for B9 A5 Sportback

Has anyone put on an aftermarket exhaust on their B9 A5 Sportback? Hard to find one that fits the B9 A5 SB. Waiting for the AWE touring exhaust but looks like it's going to be a while if at all with that. I did find this Magnaflow one on their website but doesn't specify if it is for the coupe or Sportback. If it does fit, I would also want to pair it with 034 Motorsport's cold air intake. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Subscribed. Also interested in hearing insights on exhaust and intake for the B9 A5. Very curious to know what the 2.0 four cylinder sounds like, having come from the 4.0 V8.

According to a post I saw, that fits the A5SB. I asked for a sound clip but neither the shop who installed the exhaust nor magnaflow has one.

I did email magnaflow to see if it does fit just in case.

Also, armytrix is another option. I was quoted $2880 which is a bit high considering I'd also have to change the rear diffuser to fit their system as they use quad tips. Patiently waiting for a magnaflow clip

I emailed Magnaflow as well but have not heard back yet....it's been about a week. The clips on their website the sound doesn't work. I did find some clips on youtube but not for the B9 A5 SB. I looked at armytrix too, but I agree too expensive and i'm not changing the rear diffuser.

I had mine custom made. (2.0 quattro)

Went for a catback at first as the software isn't cracked yet.

The sound is pretty sweet, but that will change once the downpipe is changed as well.

I went for 114mm exhaust tips, and i think it fits the F5 pretty nicely. I will change the tops for silver once, but they where out of stock.
They will be the same size.

Would love to do a HFC and complete exhaust system but I have yet to hear an aftermarket exhaust that sounds good on the 2.0L.
Everything I have seen and heard sound like a Honda with a fart can. If someone would make a system that frees up some horsepower
but keeps the stock sound I would get it in a minute. It is next to impossible to get a 2.0L to sound great with a free flowing exhaust.

I’m pretty sure there are no sound clips for a B9 2.0 with a Magnaflow exhaust. I used to check weekly...LOL

I'll probably just go with the 034 Motorsport Cold-Air Intake & Res-X Resonator Delete for now. Hopefully, AWE will come out with the B9 A5 SB setups....

There are none for the B9 A5. None. I’ve been checking since November 2018.

Martin also got with Milltek this morning -

As far as I am aware I don’t believe we have any plans for the B9 A5 models, for the sport-back the A4 B9 system maybe compatible but to be honest we haven't had much demand from our dealers for the A5.

The first link is my current setup which is quieter and has no drone in the cabin. The second link was my original setup. It sounds really good outside,but it cause some drone.
The OEM exhaust setup has one big and one small resonator after the cat, plus two mufflers on each side in the end. I replaced two mufflers with glasspack and deleted the small resonator for my current setup. For the original setup, I deleted both resonator and replace muffler with glasspack.
I don't have professional audio recorder. So the clip may sound no difference to some one.

I have a b9 A5 coupe and have just a downpipe on it. It sounds amazing, and not ricey at all! I’d highly recommend it and can shoot some clips your way if you want. It brings out the engine noise enough, while adding some pops and bringing out the dsg farts. It is not overly loud, but it is just the right amount

If it would make any difference, I have the Milltek road + exhaust for my B9 allroad going on soon. I plan on getting some audio from it, since there’s like one crappy video of it on YouTube. Hopefully this would help drive some sales too, Mops

I actually might be swapping the resonator out for the fully resonated version, for fear of waking my neighbors up

We've sold a couple of A5 SB Road+System Milltek systems this week - hopefully we get some feedback/clips from those owners too.
