    Ceramic brake howl/groan noises

I occasionally have the squealing brakes which doesn't really bother me, but in the last 2 weeks I have notice a groaning/howling noise now too.
It usually only occurs after sitting in some traffic for a bit with repeated light use of the brakes. The howl is pretty bad at times and sometimes it will do it at low speed without me even having my foot on the brake pedal.
Certainly sounds like a pad is dragging or something is what i'm guessing. Once i get to higher speeds it goes away and after driving normal speeds for 5-10 minutes it wont return again unless I sit in traffic again for a bit. Sounds like something maybe is heating up and making noises without much airflow to cool things down.

I know these ceramics are noisy brakes, but this howling is new. Car has 15k miles on it and that's mostly highway miles.
Between these brakes and the drivetrain malfunction warning, this is not a fun car to drive in traffic, I think its the cars way of crying.

The noise sounds very similar to this...

I would suggest to check, with a dial gauge, if there is warp on wheel bearing or brake disc

It's just something they do. My car started doing that with about 4k miles on it. I'm nearly at 7k now and have just learned to deal with it. Sounds terrible, but it's just part of carbon brakes. Porsche released a video awhile back addressing the same issue with their carbon brakes because so many customers were complaining. It's a natural part of this type of braking system.

Here is the noise mine makes.

I think but not sure that the ceramic brakes moderately apply themselves for some reason. I had read this in a post somewhere.

I have EBC red, allegedly ceramic pads and on high speed braking it makes a little bit different noise, like wheel bearing noise, steering doesn't wobble, I even changed the wheel bearings, but I guess it's normal ... does it happen to you guys?

Ok, sounds like this is nothing to worry about, I can deal with the noise if nothing is truly wrong.

    Thanks guys.
