    Weights for 20" OEM B8.5 Q5 wheels?

Hey, I've been searching and didn't find anything.

Just bought a 2016 SQ5 with 20s. They are the split spoke. I also have a line on some 20" peelers. Wondering if anyone knows the weights of the different OEM 19s for the Gen1 Q5s? I love lightweight wheels but the OEM look is pretty strong as well. Just wanting to understand the starting point before I go shopping for aftermarket.

    Thanks!

Don't know anything about weights, but I put the 20" stock wheels on my 2016 Q5 & then had them powder coated gloss black. They are very strong-just came back from a 1500 mi trip on some very bad roads that I thought would test any wheels strength & no problems. Was not impressed with the split spoke design in silver, but they look very good in black on my glacier white Q5 with H&R sport springs. Glad I had 45 ratio sidewalls for the beating my wheels & tires took.

Ive got my 20" peelers sitting in the garage, I can weigh one if you want to know the exact weight. They will be my winter wheels next year so just sitting there for now.

Thank you! Great to have this information. I am currently running v-spokes, I think. I sold my old Peelers off of our s-line Q5 because I thought they were pigs. Turns out my new 20s are 1lb lighter <ha>. Should have kept the peelers around.

4G8 601 025 BA, it's an RS7 wheel, nice and relatively light and an actual forged Audi wheel.

They are all disappointingly heavy! The SQ5s are the worst. But they also don't bend so easily like some of the aftermarket wheels.

Which one above is the 20” 5 spoke OEM used in the summer tire package on my ‘17 S-Line? Would like to know the weight.

Hey MSQ5 do you have a part number? I think I found your wheel 8R0 601 025 CJ is 32.4 lb. Vorsteiners 20x10 ET30 are running closer to 22 lb - maybe that should be on your upgrade path!

I had to dig a bit to find where I sourced those weights - I ended up having it bookmarked - it is a German company that does the OEM wheels. It is the mother load for all your Audi OEM wheel weights. There can be multiple iterations of a particular wheel design so make sure you check against your actual part numbers.

Yep. Thanks. That’s the one, unfortunately. 14.7 kg, about 32.4 pounds. 😩. But, right there in the middle range of the OEM 20” wheels on the list.

I would have thought the open 5 spoke design would have been lighter. At least they are easy to clean! I’ll pull one and weigh wheel/tire and deduct the known tire weight.

I see an upgrade in my future.

I was originally going to get a set of the 20" SQ5s because I figured they must be reasonably light on an S car and lighter than the 21s. Then I realized they were also super pigs. Tsk Tsk Audi putting heavier junkier wheels on a sports variant, you'd never see an M car do this.

A lot of those 20x10 ET30 Vorsteiner variants are listed at 21.8 lb. MOPS is going to sell me a set it's just a matter of time!
