Has anybody purchased or installed the BOV from Forge Motorsport yet? I'm thinking of getting it after I get BMS JB4 but I'm still debating if it's worth it or not. It'd be nice if there was a video of it in action!

Yup, I've had one for five or six month's. I love it, one of my favorite mods! I've had a few other people ask for a video. I'm going to make one once my part comes in from the mother land. I'm stuck in limp mode Nd not making boost right now.

I'm also dealing with limp mode but mine is caused by JB4... It's throwing "Drivetrain Malfunction" and "Stop/Start not working" signs...
George is been trying to fix my issue with it but no luck yet...
I've tried everything he asked me to do except trying a brand new JB4 which should be my last step.
I took off the JB4 this morning and everything is fine now.

Other than the auditory excellence I can't see something like that making a performance difference. 🤷*♂️

That's strange, mine has been solid with the jb4. I talked to my tech after troubleshooting the car myself and he said my sensor failing had nothing to do with any of the mods.
You can buy it from several places, ecs, straight from them ect.

Mob, I wouldn't figure a difference either but I have heard of some doing the mod on the 2.0T cars and noticing a better throttle response, etc. Might be placebo but figured I would ask. Especially on a modded car.

I guess I couldn't say for sure because I always upgrade in group's. That day I remember doing the intake, Bov and the dogbone insert. So yes, I noticed a difference but from what I couldn't say. And yes the sound does make it seem like the car is more high preforming or something. Definitely a placebo effect there.

Been really debating on getting the Forge BOV, but i wanna hear how it sounds first. I already have the ECS Kholefaser intake installed which makes the spool up sound great, but leaves me wanting more of a blow off sound. Cant wait to hear some videos finally lol

Same here. I wonder if it'll eliminate the flutter though. Even though it's bad for the turbo, I kinda like it.

Sorry man, I got the car put back together and went for a test drive.... I had higher than normal iat so I pulled back into the garage and wiggled the intake hose and sure enough it feels loose! Ughhh I guess I gotta Jack it up and drop the belly pan so I can see what's going on. I'm eating right now but I'm going to take a look after. I'll hopefully have something for you guy's today.

My exhaust is rather bassy so I'd suggest listening to it on some good speaker's. Let me know if you'd like some more video's 😬.

Just wanted to mention that I saw your engine cover was off, I had mine off because I broke a post on accident and my Audi tech saw and said that you really want to keep that on for heat shielding as there's a chance of developing an issue with your hood and paint. Not sure how accurate this is but seems reasonable.

Update: Talked with Forge directly, they seem to believe it could be a bad solenoid and are sending out a replacement. Great customer service as they didn't ask to see receipt of sale, will follow up with result.

Hey mobE, I installed this along with an ECS intake and under hard boost i'm getting "drive system malfunction" error after the valve releases - I don't have a JB4. I saw that you had a similar issue, might you know the culprit? The error puts the car in somewhat of a limp mode and I get two lights on the dash but no P-codes are generated. The error clears after power cycling the vehicle. I have a hunch that with the atmospheric dump, there's not enough air passing over a sensor which the recirculating valve provides and thus this "drive system malfunction" error is thrown.

I dont ever have issues with mine, I had a fault once but it was fixed with a jb4 update 🤷*♂️.

And yep, I instantly noticed reduced lag/better response. I'm not going to say it was night and day, but certainly apparent. I still need to spend more time with it, and I'm also back on stock (HEAVY) wheels, and will be going back to forged this week. No matter, I'm very pleased with the addition. Lol!! It's nutty. But keep in mind, you have to induce the sound by lifting quickly when in boost. It's hardly heard at all during shifts. Even with lifting normally, it's much quieter and not a pitchy.

Nope, I prefer a BOV that sounds like a giant broom going PSSSSSHHHHHHH(like TIAL) rather than a horse NAYYYYYYYYYing. Actually, now that I think of it, Id even rather have an HKS whistle BOV than this. I was really liking the idea of this mod until I played the video. However, your exhaust does sound good, Ill give it that.
