    Wheel hub size question?

Heres the deal boys and girls. Every where I look says that my 2008 A4 b7 2.0T fsi Quattro manual has 57.1 mm hubs that the center bore of the wheels fit over but when I try and put stock wheels on the car the center bore of the wheel is way too small I measured the wheels that fit the car (with a ruler so not very precious will get a set of calipers to take better reading tonight.) and they measure to be about 72 mm has anyone got a clue what is going on? I'm probably missing something simple. Any help is appreciated at this point.

Yes, your center bore should be 57.1. If the wheels you have measure a center bore of 72mm then they are reps, not Audi wheels. Buy some 72 to 57.1 hubcentric rings and you're good. I think I'm interpreting what you wrote right, it was a little confusing, the hub bore is too small for the wheel or the wheel bore is too small for the hub?

Any chance that there is a set of hub adaptors already on there? EDIT: Or perhaps you need a set of these...

If he is saying the wheel will not fit on the hub then may be he has a B8 though that is 2009 not sure on the transition month.

Either way, the hub bore isn't 72mm.

@Kevin_C Now that someone has said it I don't think I have checked to see if there are hub adapterers that are stuck on the hubs of the car but I will when my wife returns with it.

To everyone else who repiled the cars hubs seem to be too big for the stock Audi rims I purchased second hand. What Kevin said seems to be the most likely culprit and I feel stupid for not checking that first. Thank you everyone for your input.

Ah, so the wheels that fit measure 72mm and the Audi ones you picked up have too small a hub bore. Kevin is almost certainly right then that the wheels came off and the hub adapters stayed on the hub then. Get them off and you're good to go, might be a task in itself.
