Depends how you drive. Certainly not "the lifetime of the car" as they originally advertised.
Porsche confessed Ceramic is used for cleanliness. :)

id hope/think 80-100K, but like gk1 said....varies with how you drive (use them). def much nicer not fussing with the infamous brake dust...and the look is obviously phenomenal IMO.

I can tell you that with 10k miles on my ceramic brakes, My pads are still 10mm up front and 11mm in the rear, and no wear on the rotors. My understanding is that the pads will last at least 30k each, and the rotors about 100K. It is awesome not to have any brake dust.

Viva no brake dust and brake squeeling! If not tracking the discs should last quite a while.

    Correct

However, I know of people who can go through a set in a couple track runs, just depends how you use them.

I heard they should at least be fine for at least 125k miles under normal driving, and i hope that is correct (one of the reasons why i searched a car that had them over steel ones).
The issue is ours are carbon-steel rotors and not carbon-carbon (real motorsport stuff). Benefits are our mixed disc are optimized for street use, don't require high temps from start to break decent for example. Downside is, if you use them on tracks, they do the job great but wear as quick as steel ones. So if you plan to do track days, get yourself a set of steel ones ;).
"Golden" tip: never buy a used car/set if the (ceramic) calipers have a golden look in them -> track abuse alert ;).
*96.690km/60.500miles on my ceramics: still in perfect shape (as far as i can see). Got the car second hand and think they on their second pads with still decent thickness left :).

Audi actually states life expectancy of the carbon ceramic rotors to be 300,000km (186,000 miles).
