A6 Power Folding Mirrors not synced

Anyone else have a drivers side mirror that fold/unfold slower than the passenger side. Maybe 3 seconds slower.

13 A6 3.0T Prestige. Is my driver side power folding mirror dying a slow death?

I mentioned this in the questions you thought were too dumb to ask a few years ago and others confirmed the driver's side folds slower. Same on on the 7.

Don't know if it's dying but same thing with my 2015 RS7. Drivers side mirror is slower then the other side. Most noticeable when it folds in after you lock it.

Always thought it was just a quirk lol.

Yes, but for mine ('16 A6 3.0t), I wouldn't say 3 sec. slower... maybe 1 or 2 sec. at most. There is a bunch of info on your particular scenario on the inter-webs, and forums alike - some people say its abnormal, some people say it's normal. It's going to be one of those age old debates... people have been mentioning problems with the power folding mirrors pretty much since their existence. If you were under warranty, I'd say have the dealership check it out.

I can confirm that the driver side is slower but not 3 seconds slower.
it did that with MY12 and my brand new 18, so definitely not due to dying motor. At least I hope not.

Driver side is also a bit slower on my A7. I recall I had the dealer replace the mirror motor on my previous a6 under warranty and it helped a bit but I don’t think they were ever perfectly in sync. I don’t believe we’ve seen any evidence that the motor is failing or on its way out on these cars. I got used to it.
