Did a forum search, couldn't find anything. thinking about getting new wheels/tires for my 2015 audi a4 S-line, but not if im gonna look like a monster truck and living in Massachusetts I dont really want to lower my car any more than it is... Can anyone show me pictures specifically of the OEM S-line suspension with 18 inch or 19 inch wheels?

First, is you car actually S-Line or does it just have S-Line appearance package? If your car is S-Line you will have the sport seats and 3-spoke steering wheel. I ask this because cars with either the full S-Line package or the Sport package have lower suspension from the factory than cars without. With that lower suspension the 19s look really good.

That said, the Prestige trim-level A4s were available with 19" wheels from factory when equipped with S-Line (which I believe was standard for the Prestige model). Also, the S4, which has the same ride height as the S-Line and Sport package A4s, was available with 19" wheels from the factory.

    Here is a stock A4 S-Line on 19" wheels

Here is a stock S4 on the same 19" wheels

    Hope that helps!

Ya, I was going to say the same thing 19birel said above. I have S-line badges on my car, but I don't have a true S-line. Only the bumpers and side blades. If you have the S suspension and are having trouble finding what 19's will look like on the A4, just head over to the S4 model discussion and im sure you'll find a plethora of them on their stock suspensions.

I have a s-like package on my a4 and I have a set of Avant Garde M621 19x9.5 et35 that i’m waiting to put on (18” winter wheels rn) and I have a set of coilovers to also put on soon after, the look of 19” rims on the a4 with stock suspension looks alright to me but I really want to limit the fender gap, so I plan on lowering it 1.5” at first.
I have seen tons of a4’s with 19” rims without lowering the suspension and they look pretty OEM even tho they came from factory with 18”
ideally the best thing to do is just talk to a shop and figure out what set up you’re trying to go for and work towards that.

s-line appearance package has the s4 front bumper, honey comb on rear “diffuser” and s-like badges/door sill plates. sport package has the 3 spoke steering wheel and some other things like sport seats. A true s line car is the s4 I guess?

another easy way would be to measure your ground to fender height. I'm not sure what mine is off hand, but I can measure it when I get home to tell you what the stock A4 height would be, then you can compare to that.

suspensions, well the springs themself, tend to start slacking when you have a higher mileage. when I bought my car from audi (cert pre-owned) it had brand new suspension bc the previous owner had aftermarket struts on. this could explain why your car looks a little lower than others, don’t quote me on that but is a possibility based on mileage, road conditions, etc

Off subject, but are you running spacers on your wheels? I'm installing 20x9's and solowerks in the very near future and was curious if your 8.5" wheels are getting you that look. Thanks! Looks great btw

Thank you! I’m not running spacers. I believe those wheels are actually the same specs as the factory one’s. I believe I oh so slightly rub the rear fender liners, but the fronts may have just escaped the fender

Thanks man. I guess the wheel offset will play a role on this too and I'll probably have to play with the height a little once I get them on. trying to avoid rubbing or running spacers, but want to keep things looking flush.

This is simple, you can keep very close to, if not the exact same, original ride height easily. When you switch to a larger wheel, use a lower profile tire. This way, the overall diameter stays the same, so ride height remains the same. Another factor to consider: factory 19s are usually associated with more robust factory sport suspensions, as the damping effect of tires diminishes as you move to lower profile tires, this is accounted for in the engineering and design of the entire suspension system. For a given suspension system, 19s are a harsher ride than 18s. The system must absorb much more energy due to there being less tire present to absorb initial impact. But to your initial question, keep tire profile in mind and you won't have any issues. There are wheel/tire calculators online where you can play around with sizes to find the right size to keep the same overall diameter.

You need the sport seats that are labeled with "S-Line" (I believe they are alcantara?) as well as the steering wheel with the badge. It should look something like this:

Yes that’s a good point. I’m assuming the sub thinks he has an sline because he has the fender and doorsill badges. And I believe you could have the sline style package and sport suspension as an option. I’d recommend the OP get his monroney sticker from Audi so he can check what options came on his car. It’s a simple email to AoA

Sports package came with 3 spoke steering wheel, sport suspension and sport seats. S-line came with alcentera seats and black interior and IIRC black headliner.

This only holds true for the B8 cars. The OP has a B8.5.

For B8.5 S-line appearance package just has different front and rear bumpers and some S-line wheels (18 and 19 available).

Sport package adds 3 spoke steering wheel, sport seats and sport suspension which lowers the car and is stiffer.

You can have Sport without S-line and vice versa. They are standalone options and not very common together for B8.5.

    To add to the confusion:

2014+ A4 all had S-line Appearance package as standard equipment. Sport package was still an additional option.

2015+ added 3 spoke steering wheel as standard equipment on top of the standard S-line appearance package. Sport package still an option.

I guess for B8.5 a "true" S-line car would be S Line + Sport package.

Don't even get me going with the B9 cars... just about all the ones I've seen have S-line badges all over. lol

True. Theres SO many variations of this car. I have a 2015 S-Line and it has the door sill blades, fender badges, S4 bumpers, newer 3-spoke steering wheel without badge, regular non-sport seats, and I believe regular monster truck ride height lol.

For B8.5 S-line appearance package just has different front and rear bumpers and some S-line wheels (18 and 19 available).

Sport package adds 3 spoke steering wheel, sport seats and sport suspension which lowers the car and is stiffer.
