Go to https://erwin.audi.com/erwin/showHome.do, register, sign, pay and download all stuff for your car.

Left solenoid is connected to the ecu t94 pin 53 and other pin is connected to engine main harness connection nr13(d115).

Thanks Gunnark100, I've been hunting a cold misfire for a while now. I've done all the logical steps that I can think of.
It's getting desperate, every cold start, I get multiple cylinder misfires and cylinder 1 and cylinder 4 until rpm drops from the cold start 1200 to the normal ~800RPM
The wiring for the steering (servotronic solinoid), which I had a problem with (since the car went to a garage to get the pistons replaced, it seems like they forgot to unplug some wires when they pulled out the engine) shares a conduit with the engine mount wiring on the driver side. The steering servotronic wiring was working intermittently, I had to splice in new wires and run them to the ECU box (firewall area) to resolve the issue.
The engine mount wiring on the driver side connects to the same conduit as the servotronic solenoid, which makes me think that there might be issues with the engine mount wires as well... I just wanted to eliminate that issue (the wiring problem) altogether.

Should there be voltage at the engine mount connector (When ignition or engine is on)??

Sry i dont know, but if color code is correct, pin1 should be terminal 15(ignition on), but i could be wrong.

    Edit:fuse diagram shows terminal 87, not 15!

On the motor mounts, pin 1 connects to 12v (red/yellow wire) and pin 2 connects to the ECM (the other wire). ECM grounds the connection when it wants current flowing.
Unfortunately, the wiring diagram is missing the entry for the N145 right side mount, so one cannot be sure where that wire connects to the ECM.
The active mounts are only present for automatic transmission vehicles.
They are very simple and you'd have a DTC if there was any issue with the current flow, I would expect.

I don't know if high idle counts as driving mode or still idle mode (the doc, which is for another Audi has the changeover point from soft (idle) to hard (drive) as 1100rpm), nor if current is flowing for soft or hard mode.

The 12v source for the motor mounts is shared with a number of other devices that are also ground controlled at the ECM.
That's fuse 7 in the row of little fuses in the fuse panel at the ECM.
The exhaust cam adjustment actuators are on that same fuse.

The coils are on fuse 8.
The fuel injectors are wired to the ECM on both ends.

Have you checked the knock sensor voltages during the high idle to see if they indicate any difference or similarity across the cylinders?
I have a high value on cylinder 2 vs the others. But I assume it to be because when I changed my manifold, I manually cleaned the carbon build up except on 2, since it was the open one and I didn't know at the time about turning the engine manually to close it. I'm not sure if knock detection is active during that initial high idle, though.

Thanks Gunnark100, I did a continuity test using a multimeter on the Engine mount wire that connects to the ECM and found zero resistance (but there is no guarantee that they dont leak, in other words, cross touch another bare wire at some point), i removed the wires from the conduit and traced them back two junctions, and didnt find any fretting or visible damage.

the (yellow/red wire) you mentioned it connects to terminal 87. where is terminal 87??

using the multimeter (after disconnecting the battery of course), i traced the yellow/red wire to the fusebox in the ECU box (firewall area) and found continuity (zero resistance) on the majority of the fuses (the rest were showing resistance but not infinite), is that normal ??

Note: the Servotronic solenoid wires also showed continuity but they were definitely not working as they should, when new wires were spliced, the solenoid worked perfectly since (hence my theory about bare wires touching somewhere, the wires from the Servotronic solenoid and the engine mount share the same condiut)

Smac770, Thank you for the information, mine is an automatic (active mounts) can the engine mount have a wiring issue but still function and not throw a code?

I used the information you provided about the fuses at the ECM box to find that what i mentioned above (continuity found between the yellow/red wire and most of the fuses in that row)

Any help or input in appreciated.

Purchased the wiring diagram (thanks Gunnark 100 and Smac770 for the information)

I still cant find where terminal 87 is ... i searched both electrical system service manual, and wiring diagram documents downloaded from erWin. 2009 A4 Avant Automatic.

    thanks.

Terminal 87 is so to say 12v source for fuses like nr7. Where it starts no idea. But if all functions which are under fuse 7 work, no point to even waste your time to finding it. Any chance you post fresh autoscan?

Update: very peculiar (to me), i tested voltage across the 2 old servotronic wires (that should no longer be connected to anything on both ends), and one of them is registering 3.XX Volts on it. any ideas?? sorry about the quality of the video...

As your servotronic works with new wiring, i cant see point of this test, but as you know n119 is connected to j519 via t17q plug which is ecu fusebox position G, but it does not share pins with other functions etc.

Btw, your scan looks not bad at all!

Thanks Gunnark100, i was doing this test because i'm suspecting that the wires are chafed somewhere inside the conduit (the old green wires from the servotronic maybe touching some other wires in the conduit and causing voltage leaks? just a theory, are there other possibilities for one of the old wires to register voltage still, even after i cut both?)

Engine bay wiring is not really my "thing", but anything is possible...are you able to remove those wires permanently(probably not- to much hassle). I remember one story, where flat battery of multimeter caused all sorts of faulty(unreal) readings, i hope thats not your case!

Be sure to use the negative post on the driver's side shock tower to get a clean value to "ground". It's in the very bottom right corner of your video at time 67.187.
If you measure the voltage to 12v, using the positive post under the cover in the center of the plenum cover, do you measure the other 8.5v or so?
Two wires with two ends, so do you get the same results on all four points? Or just one wire, or just one end of one wire?

It is a curious thing, but unfortunately, I think you're only answer will be found after dismantling the conduit.
The wiring diagram provides a lot of info, but it does not convey actual wire routing.

After capturing the video. I separated the two green wires, and it ended up being 1 of them that registered a voltage (not both of them). I dont have much training in pulling conduits out.is there a reference I can use? I made a mess when just tracing the wiring for the servotronic and engine mount (as you can see from the video and the others linked in the description section on YouTube).
Gunnark100, good point, I'll change the battery on the multimeter and retest.
Smac770, I'll use the fresh multimeter and test against the main ground terminal in the engine bay. And will report back with the main (terminal 30?) Voltage against a clean ground vs center of plenum.
Automotive wiring repair guide would help...

Can I use 3m electrical tape? When wrapping up the junctions (instead of that seemingly specialized tape used by Audi)
Thanks for all the help guys. Any advice is appreciated...

OK this thing is really driving me mad...

The Engine wiring harness connectors (red and white) in the ECM Box (under windshield washer fill cap, in the firewall area), were WET. I dried everything and put it back together... and now the Green wires (that are supposed to not be connected to anything, because i have spliced in new wires effectively cancelling the original servotronic ones) registers 12VOLTS. seriously, this thing is very puzzling ..

can anyone shed some light into this please??

i don't have good electrical diagnostics skills, but to my limited knowledge, this is almost confirming a chaffing inside one of the conduits (especially the one that houses the Servotronic old wires, only one of them is registering 12 Volts by the way, the other is giving a Zero Volt)

the problem was originating from the connector itself, i opened up the wire conduit and traced the wires and didn't find any evidence of chafing. as soon as i removed the pin from the connector (T17q red connector in the ECM box, in the firewall area), the voltage reading became 0 on both servotronic wires (old wires)...
