In March of 2017 I purchased this car not running with a 3.0 motor that had a snapped timing belt. As a project, I replaced the 3.0 with a motor from a donor car and photo documented the entire process.

The car runs and drives but does have some issues that I’ve detailed below. I planned to continue to modify this car as a weekend project but due to a recent job change I would like to sell this onto another enthusiast.

This car is fun to drive and would be a great platform for a 2.7TT swap or other build projects.

Pros:
- 01E 6 Speed Manual
- Rebuilt 3.0 AVK motor (All gaskets from OEM Victor Reinz, All coolant O-rings and seals OEM from Audi Northlake)
- Maintenance History below and in paper recipes from previous owner (back to 160k)
- Winter Package (Headed front seats, Heated Window screen nozzles, Headlight washers)
- B5 S4 Front Brakes
- Working Cruise Control

Cons:
- Engine using some Coolant. I do not know if it is leaking in the motor (rear main seal) or if it is leaking in the interior heater loop.
- Uneven idle at start. Currently I believe this potentially a fuel pump issue. May need to be replaced.
- Interior Headline Sagging (See pictures).
- Driver seat back cover panel unclipped.
- Tires low on Tread.
- Rear Shock need to be Replaced (See Audi Northlake Pre-Purchase inspection notes).
- Two Front Inner CV Boots Busted
- Passenger Fog Light Bulb Out (Throwing Code)
- Driver Side Headlight Auto Level Error (Throwing Code)
- Windscreen washer tube to nozzles needs to be replaced.

Just finished my last week at my job. Over the next two weeks I'll be painting, replacing the carpet, landscaping and then Zillow has an inspection scheduled so they can give me an offer. I'm pretty motivated to sell so I think I should have this thing sold near the end of this month.

The "uneven idle at start", is that anytime you start the engine or only when it's cold? Does it have a hard start also? Once in gear it goes away?

The idea smooths out after 15-20 seconds. I personally believe it needs a new fuel pump.
