This is a reasonable starting point:

It doesn't discuss Adaptive Damping Suspension, and there are other options that may have been ordered on either trim level. Best bet is to look at some of the window stickers of a number of cars that are on the For Sale sites (Cars.com, Cargurus, etc.). An example is the "Quattro" decal and Bluetooth adapter ordered with my car.

Yes it it tough to determine how the used one is equipped. Most of the used lot have no idea and even the used Audi dealers fail to list the options. I wanted fully loaded Prestige. New there was a big difference between options but used there is little to none so if possible get all the bells and whistles. In the pics, I always looked for the drive select button, active cuise cone on the lower passenger grille and side assist light on the inside of the sideview mirror.

There is a VIN decoder thread that apparently sometimes works and some dealers are nice enough to run a VIN

Yeah, if possible, get a copy of the Window Sticker. An Audi dealer can provide it easily. Understand what comes standard on Prem+ and Prestige, then look at the window sticker for the other options.

When I was looking for my car, I had to have the Sport Dif and Active Damping Suspension. Mine was a Certified Pre-owned. Neither of these options were listed on the Audi dealer's ad, yet when I looked at the window sticker they provided, those options were there. Odd that the dealer didn't point that out (along with Audi Care prepaid maintenance). Obviously those things add value to the car, so you'd think a dealer would point that out. They don't always do that.

BTW, the window sticker won't list Audi Care. You can call any Audi dealer and provide the VIN and they will be able to tell you if your car has it or not.

I just bought my car at the beginning of Dec. Spent about 6 months looking around and deciding which features were "must haves". Glad to share my experience and lessons learned with others.

BTW, there's a Sepang Blue 2016 Prestige S5 with low miles (under 20k) for low $40ks, in San Diego (I was looking nation-wide). It was over $46k when I was looking. It's not a CPO (not an Audi dealer) and I'm not sure why it's been on the market so long, but it's definitely one I'd look into if I hadn't bought mine.

I'd have taken brown w/black interior with my Moonlight Blue Metallic exterior as well. That was my first choice, but couldn't find it. Lunar Silver w/Black was my second choice.

Mine is dark brown seats and door inserts with black dash, black doors, and black carpet. It has the black wood with aluminum inlay, which is why I chose it, but I think the brown is nice. So much better than black, especially in a convertible.

I was looking for the Sport seats, which are black with brown inserts. Door panel inserts were brown as well. With the Moonlight Blue metallic exterior (saw this combo on an '18 Sportback), I thought it looked great. I've seen some B8.5 S5s with that color combo, but none with the options I wanted.

I have the same interior with Estrol Blue. The black wood with silver pinstripe looks very classy. I do love the interior look but when I was looking for a blue cab, I did much prefer the B8 Tuscan brown which was more of a baseball glove orange/brown.
