They also said because I didn't get my vehicle serviced at their dealer that they will not honor this free service. I called Audi of America and they told me they have to do more research on the matter and have not given me a response. When I told Audi of America I do not get my vehicle serviced at this dealer or any dealer anymore unless warranty work they seemed alarmed. My Audi Care expired and I now purchase my own oil and filters but I perform the maintenance myself. In this supplied paperwork it does not state anywhere that I have to go to an Audi Dealer. I know AdBlue isn't very expensive but its the principle at this point. Let me know your experiences if you have any.
My nearby dealer, Audi North Scottsdale (operated by Penske), has topped it off on the occasional times I’ve brought it in for service. The first time, incidentally, it was in for service because the pump that transfers the DEF between tanks had failed, so I was getting the 1500 mile warning much too frequently. Normally I do my own service work, as much as I can anyway, and fortunately they are cool about it. The only time I’ve had a service guy aghast is when he saw that my wheels and tires were not the Pirelli trash that fits the S-Line 22s (I had some aftermarket wheels and all-seasons fitted for some rough terrain work). I’ve never purchased AdBlue; I’ve only used Blue DEF and once the transfer pump was fixed, the refills have been on about a 9500-mile interval.
