    Paddle Shifter Retrofit problems

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Hello I recently purchased a beautiful flat bottom steering wheel with paddle shifters and am trying to install it on my NA 2010 Audi A4 that does not currently have paddle shifters but does have steering wheel controls. I have installed the wheel and the buttons and paddles light up but they do not function. I have gone through the coding and turned on the paddle shifters but they still do not work. Does anyone know what I am doing wrong? I thought that maybe it was a fuse but I do not see a fuse for the steering wheel and the buttons would probably not be lit if that was the case

I did that exact swap on my 2011. It's not a fuse...its something in your coding. Did you make this change?

You used to have to move the shifter into the tiptronic mode to get the paddles to register the shifts. Try that too.

I added paddles to my B7 and this B8. In both cases, clicking a paddle puts the tranny in manual mode...till the TCU sees your done fooling around and puts it back in boring auto mode.

Yes I have this is what I have but is still does not seem to work. It’s seems kind of odd that even the multifunction buttons on the front of the steering wheel that control the volume and display don’t work

Can you post a picture of your wheel? You might have a wheel that won't work on your car (from a multifunction button perspective).
