    HUD recommendations?

This may be heretical to some, but I'm curious if anyone has found a decent heads-up display for our cars. I use Google Maps almost exclusively, not so much for navigation but for avoiding traffic congestion. I have found Google Maps to be the most dependable after trying the in-car nav, apple maps, waze etc. But I'd like to have my iphone display projected in front of me. I currently have my phone magnetically mounted on the center dash between the air vents, which isn't bad, but still not ideal.

A HUD device that would project both the iphone and vehicle info from the OBDII would be ideal IMO.

Hudway Cast looks pretty cool, never used it though. I take it you don’t have Virtual Cockpit?

Apple play should work better then Your phone on a mount ...latest updates google and Waze works..,it just doesn’t show in digital dash....

I don't particularly like Apple Play, and prefer to just use BT to connect my phone to the car. The map display on the car display is a little better than using the phone display, but would prefer it to be in front of me close to my driving view. Too bad the Virtual Cockpit won't display via Apple Play, as that would be a big improvement.
This isn't a big deal, just curious if there is anything decent out there to consider.

I always thought Waze works the best as it is updated constantly from user reports.

Google Maps generates traffic data from the millions of people running it ahead, next to, and behind you. All 3 major maps providers do this I believe, sometimes one is better than the other, but they generally work in the same way.

The real advantage of Waze over Google maps is identifying road hazards and police (other traffic data).

I much prefer the total context of the satellite view provided by Google Maps over the graphic screen on Waze.
