    Cheapest Headlight Bulb Option

Typically I can find my own stuff on ECS or other sites but on the site it has different bulb options for the low and high beam and I believe our cars only have one bulb for both. The dealer wants $200... Can someone hook me up with a link?

Looks good but I don't know what the OEM bulb color is and I don't want mismatched bulbs.

Bulbs should be replaced only in pairs. The $75 includes a set of bulbs. Typically, a factory HID bulb is around 4300K. The Morimotos come in both 4500K and 5500K (I do not suggest anything higher). I have used both and personally like the 5500k color (“pure white”), without losing any noticeable lighting (the higher the number, the more blue/purple they are BUT you may also lose performance). I don’t believe that you lose much (if any) using the 5500K bulbs.. If you were to get the 4500k, they’ll be very similar to your stock bulb color and work best in rainy conditions.

I second the Morimoto via TRS site suggestion. Been using their products for years and always been more than happy. A relay on an hid conversion kit I bought from them 4 years ago (for a different vehicle) went bad on me a few months back. They trouble shot over the phone, and sent me a replacement at no cost. FOUR YEARS LATER. lol

I actually have no idea lol I’m a new S4 owner but have experience with retrofitting headlights and know a little about bulbs, clear lenses, etc.. as I’ve tried several different sets in the past.

To the OP.. I currently run a set of Morimoto 5500k bulbs with clear STI-R lenses on my Murano and like the setup. I also like those bulbs over the Morimoto 4500k bulbs, which I used originally.

I found OEM Phillips bulbs on amazon for $69/pair. Changing them out took 15 minutes, and that was taking my time and being extra careful. I checked MY Orders to get you the link but they are no longer sold for some reason. I bet if you do some digging on Amazon or ebay you could find a similar deal.

These are cheap but get great reviews. Might be worth a shot. If they suck, they are cheap enough or to matter.

^^^^ as I’ve mentioned in my previous post, unless you are getting a set of brand bulbs like the Phillips or Osrams, I highly recommend staying away from anything that cheap. The only cheaper priced brand that I would use/recommended is a set from Morimoto. They are proven and tested for quality and are usually well over 50% less than your large quality brands. A set of bulbs for $26 is more than 1/3rd of the price of the Morimotos... but will last/perform 1/10th of their time.

I see that you were only trying to help, so I’m not bashing on your post, but I highly, highly, highly recommend staying away from anything that cheap. I don’t even think they’re worth the try, due to needing replacement in a short while either way.

I got the RCP dual color 6000k/3000k fogs lights, love them. The output is easily 3 times brighter then the OEM halogen fog lights. Matter a fact, I was so impressed that I decided to purchase the RCP 6000k HID Headlights bulbs. The output is as good as my original Philips D3S, beside it’s whiter and perfect match with my RCP fog lights. At first, I was skeptical, but for the price, I said why not give a try, if it’s not good I swap back my Philip’s. I had the RCP over a month and I believe it’s there to stay.
