Hello here in New Zealand I'm only able to get Gates or Dayco submersible fuel hose e85 safe ect. There wa s a test a while ago and the gates showed sum sort of perishing and the forum was told to get the dayco stuff, I have just emailed them to see if thay can send direct as I'm being charged 47$ for a foot,

I'm re using the top hat in the B5 using Bulkhead fittings copy of another build on here, from the pump to hat and as a return line in hose not hard line to the bottom of the tank any help is appreciated thanks. The pump is a push lock end so have made the same off the top hat.

Are you able to order from Radium Engineering? They have PTFE corrugated submersible fuel hose, that's what I've been using and it works great.

I’m using them on my GT build. They are working fine with my dual 450 walbro setup. You need to either put the hoses in warm water first or use a heat gun to warm up the ends. Then they will slide on with ease.

I wouldnt use any of the rubber submersible hoses. All ive ever seen is failures. Go with any PTFE corrugated hose and you shouold be fine.

Are you saying you have push lock fittings on your fuel bulkhead? I had push lock AN fittings on my fuel bulk head as well. If so, you can change them out to non-push lock fittings to use the PTFE hose. The fittings are not cheap but, will work for E85 applications. Like vavJETTAw36 stated, I wouldn't use the Dayco rubber hose for E85 submersible application. I had a similar setup running E85 and let’s just say the rubber hoses deteriorated over time. Below are pictures of the AN-fittings I'm using on my dual 450 pump setup running E85. Hope this info helps you out.

Do you have any measures of that top hat you have? May be a better way to make one than wreck the plastic oem one

    Bump

I'm in the process of finalizing my e85 conversion (engine bay done, and just need to swap out the 044 pump for the 274 with relay kit). I picked up a standard 5/16" corrugated flex line for the line from pump to the cap. Question is, will a standard plastic corrugated flex lines hole up to e85? Or do I need PTFE corrugated hose (expensive Radium stuff)? I just figured stock line is plastic and people ran those e85 no problem, so figured I'd be safe. Still, better to ask before final install (ie def don't want to pull the pump after install just to replace one silly line).
