Auto Headlights always on?

I've tried fiddling with the MMI settings, played with the DRL settings and such but even in very bright daylight it seems the auto setting on the car just always puts the headlights on... ideas?

Do your auto wipers work? I'm pretty sure they both run off the sensor in the rear view mirror mount.

Not really... but there are no warning lights and I noticed the windshield is aftermarket and replaced... ugh, what should I be looking for?

The windshield being aftermarket shouldn't affect your auto wipers, I have an aftermarket one and they work fine, you just have to make sure the stalk is in the auto position (first click up from the bottom).

Though if the aftermarket windshield doesn't have a cutout for the rain sensor, that would certainly impede usage.


You can adjust the auto light sensitivity in the MMI.

You may have brights on as drl turned on. You'll have to check with vcds. I accidentally turned it on once and I hated it. When it's enabled the brights come on with the drl.
