275/35/20 tires instead of OEM 265/35/20 Size??

Has anyone increased their tire width on their A7? I have a 2014 A7 with OEM rims with the 265/35/20 size tires.

It seems that 275 tires are cheaper than the 265 and I know they are only 10 mm wider. However, I hate for tires to be too much wider than the rim. It just doesn't look right to me.

If anyone has done this and could post pics, that would be really appreciated.

    Dave in TN.

I did this with my S7. It looks better IMO, and it rides fine. No issues whatsoever.

Thanks for the info! I'm going to get 275s for my 2013 S7.

Thanks for the replies. I don't really have any concerns other than appearance of the wider tires. I'm assuming the look isn't too much different than the 265 size.

OEM for the 2018 S6 has 255/35/20 all seasons. I think I'd like to get some 275's in summer tires since the summer tires have the bigger grooves for the rain that we get down here in FL. It's also an excuse to get wider tires instead of little 255's. Should I get 30 or 35's though? I can't rememebr what width gets to a point that you'd have to come down in profile.

I also have a 2018 S6 and will be using the S7 tire size of 265/35-20 on a 9" wheel in the near future. My impression (with several radar speed sites around town) is the S6 and S7 have the same speedometer calibration despite the slightly smaller tire size so you shouldn't notice much of a difference.

Personally, I want a little more sidewall on my tires to dampen road noise, pothole repairs and expansion joints. A 30-series is too low unless I jump to a 285mm tire, but wheel fitment will be tricky to get that tire to fit well.
