    Fault Codes Wont Clear

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Went for a spirited drive through the canyons and somehow managed to trigger tones of fault codes. I have the cete module lowered 25 mm. It has caused some faults in the pass that are usually able to be cleared using obdeleven. Now I am unable to clear 4 major ones...brakes, steering, and a couple others that's slipping me at the moment. Nothing I do works. I have also tried disconnecting the battery for 30 minutes to no avail. I though about flashing back to stock to see if that would help but I'm not sure. Any suggestions?

If it is the cete module you always still have the little harnass plugs to tempuary unplug the module and check if you then can clear the codes (if it is cete module related...suspension too low error...).
But like said, post the codes first.

Immediately upon starting the car I’m greeting to every warning possible. Stability control, adaptive lights, air suspension etc. when I scan with ondeleven there are numerous faults but most are able to be cleared although they reappear. All codes come up with a static status. Below are the ones that refuse to reset at all:

    Brakes:
    U111300
    U111200

    Air conditioning:
    P150A00

    Central Electrics:
    01309

    Adaptive cruise control:
    U111300
    U111200

    Airbag:
    B13BCF2

    Active Steering:
    01087

    All wheel control:
    U111300

    Ride control system:
    U111200

    Steering assistance:
    C10ACF0
    B1168F1

    Information control:
    B11CF53

    Adaptive cruise control:
    U111300
    U111200

    Image processing electronics:
    U111300

I’ve tried to clear them a million times to no avail. I’ve even capped off the cete and tried to clear. No go. Disconnected the battery for 30 minutes no go. My other option was to flash back to stock but I don’t know if that would fail so most of these sensors are all throwing faults. Then again I dont know if flashing would wipe out the faults. Any help is appreciated. My car is stage 1 so I would hope I don’t need to take it to the dealer.

    Regards.

Hopefully someone with more tech experience can help, but I would check fuses first. It seems like there's probably a fault in one system that's preventing the other systems from working. Did you hit anything on your spirited drive?

Not that I can recall. But yes I agree with you. I doubt something is wrong with all those sensors. It seems like it’s a chain reaction type of thing.

That's a good thought too, I've heard old batteries with barely enough charge can cause errors too

Well I’ve had my car 8 months now and I haven’t changed the battery as of yet. But I’ll check it but would it prevent the faults from even clearing?

Does anyone know if flashing back to stock would cause the sensors to “reset”?

I don't think it would reset the sensors. Are you still under warranty?

I am. Not sure if I can even flash back to OEM with the state of the sensors showing faults. Do you think it will pose a problem?

I don't know, maybe try the tuner to see if they have thoughts on that. Maybe even indy mechanic to avoid dealer hooking it up to their computers and getting TD1

Thanks! Yea I thought of those things too. I reached out to my tuner, but unfortunately its the weekend so I'm sure I won't receive a response today. Also I got up early this morning to go to the German indy shops in my area and of course...closed. SMH Thanks for all the suggestions!

If this is after Cete install, it really sounds like the CAN BUS bridge is not fully seated. Lights up the dashboard with all kinds of lights.

I've had the cete installed for about a month. I had this issue once before when I rolled off in show mode, but I was able to clear the codes. Are you suggesting for me to unplug and reseat the can bus?

I would double check that bridge connector, I was working on something in that area once and did not reseat it correctly, had a lot of codes and lights pop up when trying to start the car. If the harness is not seated correctly the bridge connector won't lock into position.

My issue turned out to be related to the steering sensor losing the basic settings. How did this happen? No idea...While attempting to clear the codes all would clear except for 2, one for steering and the other for brakes. So I kind of figured it was related to the steering position sensor. Had a shop in LA check it out and when the looked at the steering position sensor, it was reading 0 degrees no matter how you turned the steering wheel, but in central electronics module (I think) there is another way to read the steering position sensor and it was reading find. Took it to the deal and they refreshed the basic settings for the steering sensor and that resolved the issue.
