Winter Tires - Anyone Running 255/40/20?

I am wanting to use the stock 20" black optics wheels for my winter set, and have had really good experiences with Michelin Pilot Alpin PA4's. I don't see them offered in 255/35/20, but they do offer the N spec in 255/40/20, which would give me an extra inch of sidewall. Any issues if I go this route? My other options in stock size would be Nokian R3 or Blizzak LM-32. Thanks for any feedback/advice.

    Thanks,

    Ben

you will have no problem with that size tire on the correct offset wheel (close to stock).

i run 255/40/20 winter tires on my RS7.
mounted on 20X8.5 +20 offset wheels.

I get minor rubbing if i am turing at 15mph+ and go up sidewalk ramp at the same time. Does not rub any time besides that. This is most likely because of the low offset of my wheels.

I'm running 245/40/20 Blizzak LM-32 on Hartmann wheel 20x9 +29 offset. No issue at all. It is actually the dealer's winter tire package size I got from my SA.
