    A6 0-60 times

    So I know there is an official 1/4 drag time thread, but more curious to 0-60 times people are getting with various electronic timers. Motortrend records stock is about 4.8, what are you guys getting for stage 1 and single pulley stage 2, etc...? I’ve seen some ultracharger times around 3.4 so I know these cars get fast.

    Still have to get Dragy, but based on my app on my phone, not sure how accurate it is:

    Stock: 4.9-5.1
    EPL Stage 2: 3.97 (quickest documented for me)-4.2
    Now running TCU tune, haven't tested it officially

    Didn’t know a6s are that fast. Wonder how fast the c7 s6 would be bone stock comparing numbers you are posting...
    I have an s6 which is always in the shop and when they give an A6 loner, nothing compares with the overall feel and experience when it’s running prime. I’m ok with the limited time I have the s6 before it’s in the shop again .

    I'm assuming they're giving you a 2.0 instead of the 3.0t as a loaner? Huge difference if so. Obviously same motor as the s4/s5 so with a solid tune and a few other mods it'll roll. I had an s6 before the turbo failed and my A6 is a little quicker than my S6 was stock. Now tuned would be a whole different story.

    Crazy to see the difference in I E dual pulley over epl sp. Some blistering 0-60 times so far.

    Anyone have a stage 1 0-60, curious to see the difference.

    Good questions!

    I have APR Plus on my 2018 A6, which is a stage 1 tune. I've only tried to time my 0-60 on two days back in July or August (so it was hot). I didn't mess with it at all. That is i simply stopped the car, then mashed the gas. If I recall correctly, I recorded 4.9 - 5.0. I had expected something more like 4.5, but, again, I put zero effort into technique....

    Thanks. You will have to use launch control and turn off traction control to get a better time.

    0-60 timed with P3 guage: 4.38 (traction off, tires didn't grip right away)

    Any A6 with ZF8 (all 3.0T A6 in the US) do not have launch control, unless you have a TCU tune. If you hold the brake and gas, the ECU caps you at 800 RPM.
    Do it right, or don't bother.

    Please explain what you mean by ECU cap at 800. I have launched a dozen audis with zf8 without trans tune and they all pressured to between 2500 and 3000 rpms

    Me too, I do notice sometimes it holds to 800, seemed like if I gave it more gas than usual it goes up to 3k. I thought the newer a6s had launch control? Maybe that’s on a s-tronic?

    Ok that makes sense. S-tronic is the only one with launch control. Zf8 has amax mode

    My apologies for false info. Weirdest thing. I cannot duplicate that now; in any mode. Now the car will let me rev past 1500. I didn't push it to see how high I could rev as this was in traffic on my morning commute. I have zero explanation. The one time I went to the track at stg2 single pulley, it was like "launching" from idle. I had tried again on the street after and had the same thing but that was 2 years ago at this point. I have had the car in for recalls and service. I wonder if the TCU was reprogrammed at some point with a newer revision.

    This actually has my hopes up for a substantially better time when I go back to the track in Spring but I was planning for the TCU tune by then anyway. We'll see. Maybe I'll do the HX on it's own and then go back after the TCU tune.
    Do it right, or don't bother.

    Thanks! I haven't ran the 1/4 yet. I just purchased the A6 about 2 months ago. The closest drag strip doesn't open until April. By that time hopefully I'll have my crank pulley and HX installed. I don't have anything to compare it to but IE tune did wonders to my car and their customer support is the best.

    I was running pump Sunoco 260 GT 100 octane gas. There is a Sunoco that has it for $8.29 a gallon at the pump, 10 minutes from me. They also carry 104 octane at $90 for a 5 gallon barrel.

    Wow that’s a big change from stage 1. We’re you able to do something to get better grip? Earlier with stage 1 you mentioned your tires were slipping on stage 1 launch?
