    Hood/fender alignment

Looking for advice on how i can get this straightened out (pun intended)

There are two issues I noticed with my hood/fender. The first issue (you may have to look closely) from the left side, you can see how the hood sits lower near the hinge end (left side) then starts to rise up a bit near the middle. The issue is if you look closely near the end of the fender/hood where the headlight is, it starts sitting lower again. So i cant even adjust the height of the hood to close the gap without the front of the hood dipping lower than the fender near the headlight.

my second issue is the hood seems to sit towards the left side of the car more. is there a way to adjust this?

I know my OCD can get the better of me and some people will say its fine, its not worth it, you'll never get it perfect. I realise this. But if I can atleast even it out a bit so its better than it is now, i'll live with it. So if anyone has any insight i'd appreciate it. If you think i'm just being OCD, well... you're right.

I'm quite OCD as well, so I get it. I'm sure there is a way to adjust your hood if the car hasn't been in an accident. Do you know of any accident in it's history?

I think it would only be a slight adjustment needed, on the bolts back by the hinges. I've not done this before, but I'd loosen the drivers side bolts and see if that gives you enough room to move the hood back.

it has been in an accident and ive gotta it corrected once already. Even if the shop was willing to take it back and have a crack at it, I dont have the time to drop it off and go without a car for a few days.

The accident might make it a little more difficult, seeing is how everything wasn't or wasn't able to be corrected to 100%. I understand not being able to drop it off as well with work schedules and whatnot. Have you talked to the shop about it? Maybe see what they say and get you a loaner for a couple days. Or, take a crack yourself with those hinge bolts.

loaner isnt an option as this shop doesnt have one. I'm willing to take a crack at it myself. Just testing the waters to see if anyone else has experience with this.

For up and down, there are stops that you can adjust. If I remember you pull up on them and then turn them, then push back down. For side to side yeah you probably need to adjust the hinge bolts.

If youre not good at it, it will take alot of time if youre not lucky.
You can adjust on the rubber things inside of the hood, hoodlock and the screws that holds the hood.

It can be a real PITA to adjust these things.

I have already done that. This does work to an extent. But the issue is that the hood is low on both ends and higher in the middle. adjusting the hood height any lower would cause the front of the hood to dip into the outline of the headlight secton where the hood and fender meet. appreciate the suggestion though

Take to a body shop to see if they can make it better or live with it.

What was the original damage? Pictures? What parts were replaced and what parts were fixed? If they were replaced were OEM parts used? The only thing that could cause the hood to be up in the middle is if it is buckled or the fender was replaced with aftermarket and its a POS.

It looks like the fender needs to be adjusted too. The foremost part is too close to the hood! As the gap narrows going from the windshield towards the headlight

the fender is a beyond simple adjustment I have done myself. Pop the hood loosen the three screws securing the fender to the frame, pull the fender to get the desired gap, tighten and your done. The hood should just be adjusting the rubber bump stops. Pm me if you need help.
